Megjegyzések:The health of children is important for every society, so it is crucial to Find ways to improve it. The aim of our research is to evaluate the effectiveness of a 4-year long health promotion program at a high school. The target group of the research contains 9th grade students (n=130, boys: 47.69%, girls 52.31%). Our survey has 3 main parts: (1) health behaviour survey based on questionnaires which were used in international and national surveys, (2) nutritional status measurement and (3) health-related knowledge test, including topics on healthy eating, physical activity, sexuality and risk behaviour. The results of the baseline measure will be presented here. According to our results, 38% of students had breakfast every weekday, 9.68% of them ate healthy, and 23.39% ate unhealthy (n=124). They had 4-5 physical education lessons a week, and in addition 61.51% of them performed intensive physical activity minimum twice a week, and 39.77% of them reported sufficient physical activity during the week (n=130). Students spent a lot of time in front of computer or TV screen every week, which was even bigger on the weekend, and 26.5% of them were problematic internet user (n=115). 48% of students tried smoking (n=123) and 21.71% smoked at least weekly regularity (n=129). 87.6% of students already consumed alcohol (n=119) and 54.03% of them had been drunk at least once (n=124). A quarter of the students already had sexual intercourse, and most of them were protected by condoms. Almost 10% of students were malnourished and 30% of them were at least overweight. The average score on the knowledge test was 51.8 points (from the reachable 96), the girls had better score (p=0.026). Also, the connection between their knowledge based upon our tests and their reported health behaviour was examined, and significant correlation was only found between the lifetime prevalence of drunkenness and the knowledge related the health effects of alcohol consumption (p=0.023). Compared to these data we will be able to evaluate the changes of the pupils' health behaviour and health-related knowledge during the intervention.
