Megjegyzések:Collocations have always been an important phenomenon in learning and teaching a foreign language. Learners often tend to believe that there is a one-to-one correspondence between their L1 and L2. This assumption might lead to incorrect forms caused by negative transfer. The aim of the present study is to examine collocations in German and Hungarian. The first section draws attention to the differences and similarities of collocations in the two languages. After analysing the differences and similarities, the paper goes on to share some methodological ideas, how to raise our students` awareness of collocations.
