Megjegyzések:	The success of students in higher education is a complex concept, which can be examined with multidimensional measurment tools. Some researchers look the student success from a negative, while others from a positive approach. Researchers also discover differences between the success of students in different sectors (Pusztai 2011). Our study examines the student success of four religious higher education institutions from the peripheral higher education region, Eastern border of the EU, in comparison with public higher education institutions with the same field of study (N=922). We hypothesized that there was a difference in student success along the sectors and individual religiosity. Our result showed that along the indicators used to measure the student success, differences can be found related to the sectoral and to the religiosity difference, which also shows further differences after the inclusion of the demographic, social and intra- and intergenerational background factors.
