Megjegyzések:In this study, we used remote sensing techniques and Landsat satellite images to analyze changes in Lake Fertő's area, boundary length, vegetation cover and water quality across different zones of the lake throughout 2022. The analysis utilized Modified Normalized Difference Water Index (MNDWI), Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), and Normalized Difference Moisture Index (NDMI) to measure water extent, quality and vegetation density. The study found that the lake area and boundary length fluctuated throughout the year, with the highest area and boundary length recorded in February and May, respectively. The NDVI values for the land indicated the standard trend with maximum values in July and September, while the lake area showed variability, indicating changes in vegetation cover at the shorelines. Most of the time the inner zone of the lake had higher NDMI values than the other lake zones. The study provided valuable insights into the dynamics of Lake Fertő and could inform future research and management efforts related to the lake's ecological and hydrological processes.
