Megjegyzések:	Background and aims: To follow up on the effectiveness and development of Education for sustainability development (ESD) initiatives, which have a key role in achieving sustainable development goals declared by the UN, measuring the extent of and change in students' environmental awareness with reliable measurement tools is crucial. Our study presents the results regarding the dimensionality, reliability, and validity of the NEP Scale for Children (Manoli et al., 2007) used in the research program conducted in 2021 related to the Sustainability Thematic Week (STW), compared with the results of our similar study a year earlier. Methods: In the sample of students who voluntarily completed the student questionnaire of the research program 2021 related to the STW (N 5 17,746, girls: 56.6%, age: M 5 14.22 years, SD 5 2.225), we performed exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses to examine the dimensionality, reliability, and validity of the resulting factors. In the latter case, covariates related to environmental awareness, such as gender, age, nature relatedness, and technical-economic aspects, were included in the model. Results: We identified the same three valid factors (Questioning of Human Intervention, Rights of Nature, and Eco-Crisis), having largely the same associations with the examined covariates, as in the research in 2020, although the reliability indicators of the subscales and the fit indices of the confirmatory factor analyses were found to be lower than a year earlier. Discussion: Our results confirmed our conclusions in 2020, according to which the Hungarian version of the NEP Scale for Children can be used as a multidimensional measuring tool to access students' environmental worldviews and beliefs, however, using the scale as unidimensional (based on the total score) is not justified. Our results on the dimensionality of the scale might contribute to explaining the issues, misunderstandings, and challenges that are related to the international comparability of NEP results and the ability of the total NEP score to explore attitudinal differences in research using the scale as unidimensional.
