Megjegyzések:Agricultural soils, having been depleted of much of their native carbon stocks, have a significant CO2 sink capacity. Global estimates of this sink capacity are in the order of 20-30 Pg C over the next 50-100 years. Management practices to build up soil C must increase the input of organic matter to soil and/or decrease soil organic matter decomposition rates. The most appropriate management practices to increase soil C vary regionally, dependent on both environmental and socioeconomic factors (Paustian et al., 1997a). In complex soil tillage experiment in 1997 was set on at Karcag, as the element of the investigation of soil reduced and conventional tillage systems, in situ measurements have been carried out since 2002 in order to determine the CO2-emission of the soil. Calculations by the IPCC methodology were also done to quantify the effect of various soil tillage methods on the carbon stock change in the soil. Period of calculation was 20 years. In addition a comparison was made bases of the comparison of measured and calculated data by 2008. The results we gained call the attention to the complexity of the correlation between soil tillage and carbon stock change, and also to the utilisation possibilities and limits of the measured and calculated data.

Cím:Advanced evaluation of spatial inhomogenity of light sandy soil / Tamás János, Nagy Attila
Dátum:2009
Megjegyzések:The aims of our study was to survey the spatial distribution of physical and water management properties of soils in order to evaluate the effect of high precipitation intensity on orchards and to supply complex research evaluation activities for further studies. The main goal is to establish such a precision decision support system, with which the water management properties of soil can be meliorated, and can be reduced the effect of high precipitation intensity on orchards. The examinations were carried out at an intensive apple orchard in Debrecen-Pallag. The examination site is the part of the Experimental Pomology Site and Study-Farm of the University of Debrecen, Centre of Agricultural Sciences and Engineering, Faculty of Agronomy. Grain-size distribution, upper limit of plasticity according to Arany, element content by X-Ray fluorescence spectrometry, maximum and minimum waterholding capacity, water capacity of gravity pores, soil density acidity, electric conductivity of soils were measured to obtain appropriate information on the physical and water management properties of the soil. Based on the results, the accurate spatial positions of those sites were characterized where soil loosening should be implemented in 30-40 cm depth. Spatially precise soil physical barriers were determined for micro-irrigation system. Based on the micro-element content and pH, the accurate spatial positions of those sites were selected where melioration and micro-nutrient fertilization is needed.
