Megjegyzések:The operating environment of business organizations has clearly changedcurrently. Given the complex context marked by globalization, intensifying competition, and rapidly changing consumer demands, it is not enough for managers to focus solely on the financial performance of businesses. The Balanced Scorecard model, as a multi-perspective, comprehensive, balanced indicator system helps implement multidisciplinary corporate management. The following analysis focuses on the corporate controlling function, its development and tasks and then on the Balanced Scorecard, which is closely related to controlling. The model aims to capture the operation of organizations from financial, customer, internal business and learning and growth perspectives and to linktheir strategy map to causally related indicators. The paper also looks into a possible way of developing the model in practice using a fictitious companyas an example. A balanced system of indicators can be developed after defining its central strategy, making a thorough analysis of its external and internal environment and establishing strategic sub-objectives. With the help of the Balanced Scorecard, the quantified directions needed to achieve a strategic goal can be determined based on understandable, interrelating indicators.

Megjegyzések:The Annual Campus Festival is among the summer music festivals in Hungary which targets higher education students and attracts a large number of participants. The organisers of the festival pay special attention to enhancing visitors' interest in sport and music events. The Campus Sport Festival takes place annually to promote sport and to provide higher education students, fans and participants from Hungary and abroad (Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine) with memorable opportunities to get to know each other and socialize. Based on the results of a survey in 2017 this study analyses higher education students' motivation to take part in such international events and focuses on similarities and differences identified among students from other countries. A programme for statistical analysis, SPPS, was used to study the differences among students from several countries and event motivational factors were taken into consideration when administering Pearson's chi-squared and Kruskal-Wallis tests.

The organisers of the festival pay special attention to boosting visitors' interest in sport and music events: the Campus Sport Festival takes place annually to promote sport and give higher education students, fans and participants from Hungary and abroad (Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine) the opportunity to forge relationships and socialize. Based on the results of a survey in 2017, this study describes the sporting activities organised on such occasions and examines higher education students' motivation to participate in the festival. The focus is on comparing the opinions of foreign students. The analysis carried out by SPSS used the Pearson's Chi-square and Kruskal-Wallis test to find out the differences among students.

Megjegyzések:A thorough understanding of business processes is essential for successful corporate operation. The best method of gaining knowledge is analysis, namely the understanding and evaluation of correlations between economic phenomena. In the present study, the financial position of companies operating in the poultry and pig sectors of the Visegrád countries is examined and compared. This sector was chosen because the food industry is one of the most important sectors, both because of its size and since it satisfies fundamental human needs. Both globally and in Hungary, these two industries are the most prominent in terms of trends in production and consumption. Present study examines corporate data series downloaded from the EMIS database and performed the analysis of various financial indicators that can be calculated from them. Along the primary research question, the time series development of the financial position of these sectors was examined in terms of solvency. Based on the examinations it can be stated that the pig sector clearly performs better in Poland, which was also true for the Czech Republic at the end of the period. In Hungary and Slovakia, however, the poultry sector performed better.

Megjegyzések:Benford's law has attracted many researchers for detecting the fraudulent data and can be used as one of the digital analysis tools for auditing of the accounting data. In this treatise, the accuracy of figures reported in Hungarian Trading Companies' data are examined through digital analysis technique with the consideration of Benford's Law. The net sales data from the period of year 2009 to 2014 has been used for detecting the anomalies and to confirm whether the digit-pattern follows Benford's distribution. Through the obtained results we claimed that the frequencies of first and second digits' place follow the Benford's theoretical distribution and exhibits to close conformity. Moreover analysis of the second, first-order and second-order gave a mixed result of close conformity to significant deviation from expected frequency. Also the mean absolute deviation (MAD) value of first and second digit suggests an overall conformity of the data to Benford's distribution.

Megjegyzések:Immigration became one of the relevant economic topics in recent years. Over the centuries millions of people have migrated, despite the physical, cultural etc. obstacles, to other lands in search of better lives for themselves and their children. In the context of development, globalization and labor market mobility, it is necessary to further analyze the determinants and consequences of migration not only on the host country, but also on the sending country. The increased interest and availability of data keeps this subject in the attention of economists all over the world. In this case an increase in immigration became very significant issue for policymakers. The aims of this study are to describe immigration growth tendencies and to answer how much is the average growth rate of foreign born population. Thus, in order to measure the native and foreign-born unemployed migrants, twenty-seven OECD countries were used in this research paper.
