Megjegyzések:This study explores the role of interlocking directors of Pakistani business groups and financial performance. In panel regression the effect of vertical interlocks, intra-group interlocks, leverage and sales growth are tested. Through empirical testing it is argued that vertical interlock is statistically significant and positive but intra-group interlock is statically insignificant and negative. The result suggests that vertical interlocking directors are playing key role to increase the financial performance of group member firms. A vertical interlocking director increases financial performance of group firm by supporting in coordination and promotion of transactions between group member firm and holding firm. The sample consists of 55 public limited firms listed at Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) and covering period is 2011 to 2015.

Megjegyzések:The literature of employability is based on the experiences of primary graduates follow-up researches. Among higher education institutions are the graduates tracking studies increasingly common practice. The experience can help shape the content of training in order to promote employment. But how the employers have an opinion? The research aims to determine whether employers reveals the experiences and expectations of young graduates on. The authors trying to point out what characteristics has a good employable young graduate based on the experiences of the primary corporate survey research. 120 employers were interviewed in the survey mainly in the Northern Plains region. We try to shed light on the basis of experience, what factors can be an advantage among the graduates during the corporate recruitment-selection period.

Megjegyzések:For a long time, employment researches of regional innovation have basically concentrated on manufacturing industries - in particular on high-tech branches -, while the service sectors performance were considered in detail. However, over the last decades, both scientists and policymakers were more interested in knowledge-intensive business services (KIBS). This paper also relies on the empirical investigation of labour performance in several Carpathian countries. In the context of spatial patterns and gender gap, the regional employment growth dynamics are also examined in KIBS branches. The results of our analyses show that KIBS employment is particularly higher in central and northern Europe, the female employment shares are also higher than in most of the examined countries, and the knowledge-intensive services regionally are mainly concentrated in Hungary in Közép-Magyarország. Hence, these conclusions can also highlight that some reforms are needed to change the current policy implications.

Megjegyzések:The main purpose of this study is to estimate the financial sectors' innovation activities related to their R&D expenditures in the 1995-2011 periods. Analysing various OECD countries we could claim that the average Hungarian financial expenditures are relatively smaller than their regional competitors. Then a growth accounting method was also estimated to determine the labour and physical accumulations, and the Total Factor Productivity (TFP) of each examined 14 OECD countries. The TFP could not be measured directly, which accounts for effects in total output that can be taken as an indicator of technological changes of economies. The negative TFP growth in Hungary revealed that the financial institutions could not strengthen economic growth of its own, only give a chance to enhance better productivity performance. (3) Thus, the R&D expenditures are correlated with the technology changes in most of the examined countries.

Megjegyzések:In summary, the performance of discounts and hypermarkets in the 2010-2015 interval has improved according to the value of the tested indicators. In 2010, the pre-tax profit of discounts and hypermarkets also moved in a negative range, and by 2015 both types of stores nearly doubled it. In both cases, it can be deduced that the profitability of the sales revenue has increased. In terms of profitability ratios, we can also see improvement in 2015. In terms of the ROS indicator, companies didn't achieve exceptionally high results. However at ROA and ROE the discounts produced better results. This is due to the rotational speed of the equity and assets. In terms of work efficiency, hypermarkets are almost the same, but discounts like the Lidl and Aldi have been outstanding. Lidl and Aldi also made outstanding performance on the complex efficiency index. This is underpinned by the partial efficiency test, where Lidl's wage efficiency and the Aldi's efficiency of fixed assets contribute to the greatest extent to the complex efficiency index of discounts. Based on the results in during period, it can be deduced that the profitability, productivity and efficiency of discounts increased more greater than the hypermarkets.

Megjegyzések:In Hungary, 99.9% of all operating enterprises are small- and medium sized enterprises. Within the corporate sector, the micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises have significant weight independently of the economic development and management culture, having regard also to their employment headcount rate and financial performance. The livelihood and welfare of large sections of society depend on the survival and performance of the enterprises belonging to the sector. In order to overcome this obstacle and to be able to meet the demands created by the globalization, international competition and the society, the small- and medium-sized enterprises should align their strategy with their environment. The most effective tool of it is the controlling that the SMEs can use as a support in order to increase the efficiency of their managerial decisions. In my treatise, I examine the opportunities to measure the performance of small- and medium-sized enterprises.
