Megjegyzések:Background: Based on the concept of Industry 4.0, or the fourth industrial revolution, productionprocesses are optimised by machines connected to each other via intelligent communication systems (machines keeptrack of the process and adjust their own settings accordingly). Our objective was to achieve more reliable processes withshorter production times and, consequently, lower production costs.Methods: We examined the possibility of incorporating a robot into the panel cutting subprocess of the unique furnituremanufacturing process of a timber company.Results: Currently, using robots in industrial practice is economical only in the case of mass production. Using robots inunique manufacturing calls for higher resource need. In order to examine which part of the furniture manufacturingprocess a robot can be incorporated into and what problems can be solved with the robotic arm, the first step is to look forany potential failures in the process, as well as causes of failure, by performing a process model-based Failure Mode andEffects Analysis. Following the exploration of potential causes of failure, we examined the possibility of involvinga robotic arm as a measure of improvement. Accordingly, the robotic arm was programmed in a computerisedenvironment. The parameters of the robotic arm were set using the software Mitsubishi RV-2AJ Cosimir Educational. Asa next step, process simulation was used to examine the total production time and cost of the process with using therobotic arm.Conclusions: The implementation of robots is a relevant option in unique production systems, as an intelligent system iscapable of identifying problems even at the origin of failures and therefore it allows to avoid delay and increase theprecision of operation.

Megjegyzések:The direction of global goods flows and the growth of nodes in trading networks have a significant impact on the development of logistics HUBs. The turbulent economic processes currently occurring in the world, the effects of globalization and "glocalization", customer expectations and changing purchasing habits, and the increasingly deferred differentiated solutions in supply chains have a major influence on the emergence and spread of new technology solutions in the delivery of goods.Results: This change has a significant impact on logistics processes as they face changing tasks and challenges in supply chain management. The authors intend to address this impact in their article, which also takes into account the results of international scientific papers. With the onset of the new millennium supply chains became more complex. The changes in the volume and geographical shift of goods that are traded redefine the topology of the world's goods flowdistribution. By presenting a deeper analysis of the effects, this article approaches the above-mentioned considerations from various perspectives; as yet we cannot judge which of these considerations will be the strongest, nor how the main priorities will develop.Conclusion: The best answer can only be given by future events, although the authors' modelling of the impacts and the evaluation of potential trends may indicate certain favoured directions. We can also conclude that informationtechnology tools have a great influence on boosting economic processes and faster networking
