Megjegyzések:The aim of our study is to present the topic of adult learning and its motivation. We first define the definitions and importance of learning in a person`s life. We then turn to the definitions of motivation and the historical background and evolution of adult learning. We also point out some big events that helped reaching the today`s form of adult learning. Moreover, the motivation of adult learning as a function of different motivational theories is presented. In the second half of the study, an initial research is focusing on the motivation of adult learning. The subjects of our research are young adults who are studying at the Master's programme in Management and Organisation at the Faculty of Economics, University of Debrecen. Our questionnaire was filled by 27 students, as only a small sample was available during the pandemic time. By the results, we want to get answers to which different factors motivate examined young adults in studying. According to the results, these students are mostly motivated by the fact that they can largely shape their own learning effectiveness and external factors do not affect this that much. Moreover, they perceive that they have control over their learning performance, which has a great influence on their learning motivation. With the results, we want to give an idea of how the learning motivation of the students can be characterized to both lecturers and human resource professionals working in the private sector. We intend to expand the research to a larger sample in the future.

Megjegyzések:To improve the quality of higher education, it is essential to understand students' expectations. In this research, we will analyse the specific requirements for the elements of the student partnership using the Kano model. Our questionnaire (N=320) was filled in by students of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Debrecen. Using cluster analysis we distinguished 3 groups of students, with different expectations. The most important features of the education are clear rules and requirements, fair assessment and mutual respect as the lack of these cause dissatisfaction in those 2 clusters that cover 91% of the students. For one cluster, covers 43% of students, helpful lecturer also have the same effect. This latter cluster consists of mostly elder and part-time students, who are enthusiastic and evaluate, if they are treated as colleagues, or involve in common research, problem solving, have bidirectional communication with lecturers and can give feedback on education. However one-fifth of the students doesn't like to participate in lectures, and 15% hate groupwork. Finally we found that there is a cluster of students, which give 9% of sample, who are totally uninterested, as they have no needs, only want to get a certificate.

Megjegyzések:This paper analyses the educational self-assessment of Hungarian undergraduate business economics students, focusing primarily on the concept of financial literacy as students predict and evaluate their own performance in written examinations relative to their externally assessed achievement. The main purpose of this study is to explore whether high-achieving students are more accurate in their self-assessment when predicting and evaluating their financial knowledge. In the pre- and post-examination predictions the higher achieving students actually seem to predict and evaluate their examination results more accurately than their lower-achieving fellows. Although we found no substantial differences in selfestimation by gender, females seemed to less likely to overestimate their financial knowledge after taking exams. Our conclusion also allows policy makers to identify potential needs in relation to specific features of financial literacy and provides evidence about which groups of people are in need of supplementary support, not only in higher education but in other contexts as well.

Megjegyzések:Today's trend in marketing research takes little into account the role of enduring personality traits and momentary emotional influence in customer decisions. This research is looking for an answer to the fact that consumers who, by their own admission, consider advertising to be an important factor in their purchasing decisions, the personality and the attitude of their emotional attitudes have the capacity to do so. The following results were given by filling out a valid personality and empathy test involving 965 people. Those who consider advertising to be important insecurity, shyness and vulnerability, as well as emotional instability, characterise individuals who feel uncomfortable and have anxious or live on the desire to help endangering themselves. In an empathy situation, elevated arousal causes high levels of anxiety, sometimes too much, but this is not only a momentary state, but these individuals are generally characterized by extreme emotional responses.

Megjegyzések:Islamic banking system has observed a high remarkable growth in the circles of global finance since the last three decades. This paper is intended to provide a perspective of Islamic banking in three countries, namely in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Jordan and Pakistan by analyzing the financial performance of Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) operating in these countries. A DuPont method is used for our financial analysis. This article consists of two main parts. The first one provides an overview of Islamic banking system and the other represents some empirical findings. In this perspective our study highlights that the financial performance (return on equity) of DIB is better than in UAE comparing to Pakistan and Jordan. The variability of our results can be attributed to several determinants; i.e. different profitability, efficiency and debt policy, and the Islamic institutional environment. Consequently, the age of banks and length of implementation of Islamic banking in the respective countries are also matter.
