Megjegyzések:This paper considers fundamental issues related to Finslerian isometries, submetries, distance and geodesics. It is shown that at each point of a Finsler manifold there is a distance coordinate system. Using distance coordinates, a simple proof is given for the Finslerian version of the Myers-Steenrod theorem and for the differentiability of Finslerian submetries.

Megjegyzések:This paper offers first- and higher-order necessary conditions for the local disjointness of a finite system of sets that are nonlinear inverse images of convex sets. The proof is based on the characterizations of alpha-admissible and alpha-tangent variations to nonlinear inverse images of convex sets and a necessary condition for the local disjointness in terms of these variations. As an application, the results are used to obtain first- and higher-order necessary conditions of optimality in constrained optimization problems.

Megjegyzések:We extend a result of Hajdu and Tijdeman concerning the smallest number which cannot be obtained as a sum of less than k power products of fixed primes. For this, we also generalize a classical result of Tijdeman concerning the gaps between integers of the form p_1^{\alpha_1}\cdots p_t^{\alpha_t} where the p_i are primes, to the case where the numbers p_i are not necessarily primes.

Megjegyzések:We show the uniformly boundedness of theL1norm of general matrix transform kernel functions with respect to the Walsh-Paley system. Special such matrix means are the well-known Cesaro, Riesz,Bohner-Riesz means. Under some conditions, we verify that the kernels KTn=Pnk=1tk,nDk, (where Dk is the kth Dirichlet kernel) satisfy ||K-n|(T)|(1 )<= c. As a result of this we prove that for any1 <= p fholds. Besides, for each integrable function f we have that these means converge to f almost everywhere.
