Megjegyzések:Due to the extensive use of images in various fields, using effective approaches to retrieve the most related images given a query image is of great importance. Content-based image retrieval is the approach commonly used to address this issue. The content-based image retrieval systems use many techniques to provide more accurate and comprehensive answers, among which is the relevance feedback. The relevance feedback is used by the system to help it retrieve more relevant images in response to a query. In this paper we have proposed a novel relevance feedback method that is able to improve the precision of the content-based retrieval systems. The proposed method is based on multi-query relevance feedback, and similarity function refinement.

Megjegyzések:There are many possibilities for open access publishing of location-based information as a result of the development of technology in the webGIS field. Besides this, geovisualization facilitates the interpretation and analysis of spatial data. The aim of this study is to demonstrate a GIS tool that is able to automatically express the anthropogenic influences on soils based on land use/cover data, and geovisualize their results on the web. We used ArcGIS and QGIS software for geoprocessing, classifying spatial data, and publishing them on the web. Generally, decreasing anthropogenic influence on soils could be detected on Tokaj-Nagy Hill throughout five investigation periods (1784-1858, 1858-1884, 1884-1940, 1940-1989, 1989-2010), as well as a decreasing intensity of human impacts. The results showed that representation of data with the geographic information system on the web is feasible, but also complex information from the map elements can be extracted which helps users better understand the spatial information.

Cím:Mathability in the Fields of 3D Printing and Modeling / Zichar Marianna
Dátum:2022
ISSN:1785-8860
Megjegyzések:Each term in the title is relatively new, but all of them emerge more and more frequently in various contexts. News regularly introduces some interesting events from the world of 3D printing (that is strongly related to 3D modeling) and mathability also has an impact on many scientific research works. This paper makes an attempt to explore how mathability appears in the field of 3D modeling by examining the features of Tinkercad. The investigation is completed by analyzing assignments submitted by students. My objective was to get some impression of what extent the students use their algorithmic skills in 3D modeling. Does a not typical programming interface encourage or discourage the application of their programming skills? The results show that the students majored in computer science bachelor program had a weak affinity to demonstrate how they can apply tools of higher mathability in Tinkercad, thus the unusual framework and the task did not inspire them enough.

Cím:A Method for Quantitative Comparison of 2D Skeletons / Gábor Németh, György Kovács, Attila Fazekas, Kálmán Palágyi
Dátum:2016
ISSN:1785-8860
Megjegyzések:Skeletons are widely used shape descriptors which summarize the general form of binary objects. There exist numerous skeletonization techniques that produce various skeleton-like features for the same object. Despite of the fact, that some researchers have made efforts to compare skeletons and evaluate skeletonization algorithms, we propose a new similarity measure that is based on the concept of normalized distance maps. In addition, a novel method for the quantitative comparison of skeletons is also presented. The reported method uses a high resolution dataset containing pairs of elongated objects and their expected skeletons. Our method is validated with the help of generalized morphological skeletons driven by neighborhood sequences. Based on the proposed method, we compared and ranked nineteen existing 2D thinning algorithms.
