Megjegyzések:In this paper we shall use some standard statistical methods to test the avalanche effect of a previously introduced cryptosystem based on automata compositions, called DH1 cryptosystem. We have generated sample data of encryption and decryption. In our first set of analysis we simply estimated the probabilities of the atoms of the discrete distribution separately in order to compare them with those of the binomial test distribution. In the second statistical analysis, we turned to a goodness-of-fit test. For this we used the ?2-test. Thirdly, we assumed that the sample comes from a binomial distribution and we calculated the maximum likelihood estimation of the two parameters. Finally we discuss some well-known further tests on randomness and related results. Our main conclusions based on the statistics all confirm that the avalanche effect is fulfilled.

Megjegyzések:In this paper, games with chance nodes are analysed. The evaluation of these game trees uses the expectiminimax algorithm. We present pruning techniques involving random effects. The gamma-pruning aims at increasing the efficiency of expectiminimax (analogously to alpha-beta pruning and the classical minimax). Some interesting properties of these games are shown: for instance, a game without draw can be fair. A fair game may not be fair any more if it is played iteratively. To handle these phenomena, the use of additional indicators, such as the minimal guaranteed outcome value, is suggested.

Megjegyzések:In this paper we generalize the shift radix systems to finite dimensionalHermitian vector spaces. Here the integer lattice is replaced by the direct sumof imaginary quadratic Euclidean domains. We prove in two cases that theset of one dimensional Euclidean shift radix systems with finiteness propertyis contained in a circle of radius 0.99 around the origin. Thus their structureis much simpler than the structure of analogous sets.
