Dátum:2019
ISSN:2498-5910
Megjegyzések:The most common goal of animal conservation programmes is to maintain genetic diversity. The genetic structure of Furioso-North Star horse breed was studied from pedigree records. Herdbook data of the active breeding population in 2016 of registered Furioso-North Star horses were analysed. The generation interval varied between 10.05 and 12.40 for the analysed population. There were 3,328 and 534 horses covering the total genetic variability of the whole and reference populations, respectively. Most important ancestor was the English Thoroughbred North Star III (2.67%) for the whole population, whereas it was Furioso III-4 (VI.tm) (6.65%) for the reference population, respectively. There were 23 horses having higher than 25% inbreeding coefficient in the reference population.

Cím:Genetic connectedness of breeding populations of Hucul breeder countries / Somogyvári Enikő, Posta János, Mihók Sándor
Dátum:2019
ISSN:2498-5910
Megjegyzések:The Hucul horse is originated from the former Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy, from the wooden Carpathian region. The structure of the total population was described from available pedigree information of the breeder countries using Nei's minimum distance and F statistics. Appearance of stallion lines and mare families were also evaluated. Only three stallion lines have appeared in all examined countries. Among the 42 mare families only one, 4 Kitca, was found in each breeder countries. Genetic diversity might be decreased due to 11 mare families were appeared only in one country. Smallest pairwise genetic distance was found between sub-populations of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, whereas longest was found between those of Romania and Poland based on both measurement variables. Lowest within population differences were found for the small German population.

Cím:Changes in genetic diversity in the Hucul breeding stock in Hungary / Somogyvári Enikő, Posta János, Mihók Sándor
Dátum:2017
ISSN:2498-5910
Megjegyzések:The aim of the study was the examination of changes in genetic diversity between the stocks included in the Hucul Stud Books published in 2002 and 2011. Average inbreeding coefficient was 6.21 % and 6.36 % in the stocks of 2002 and 2011, respectively. The average relatedness were 11.17 % and 12.58 % for the years 2002 and 2011. The mean complete generation equivalent was 7.13 in the 2002 stock and 8.27 in the 2011 population. The mean of the maximum number of generations was 17.21 generations (2002 stock) and 18.54 generations (2011 stock). The mean of the number of full generations traced in the case of the individuals published in the 2002 stud book was 4.36, while it was 5.21 in the case of the 2011 stock. The mean generation intervals were 9.98 years and 10.63 years for the 2002 and 2011 stocks, respectively. In the stocks included in the 2002 and 2011 stud books the effective number of ancestors (fa) was 15 (in both populations); the effective number of founders (fe) was 26 and 23, and the ratio of the two (fa/fe) was 0.6521 and 0.576. The ancestors with the highest genetic impact are listed in a table.

Cím:Analysis of inbreeding and average relationship of the present Hungarian Hucul Horse population / Somogyvári Enikő, Posta János, Mihók Sándor
Dátum:2016
ISSN:2498-5910
Megjegyzések:The Hungarian Hucul Horse population under gene protection was analysed using population genetic parameters. The used dataset was based on the breeding stock of 2015 and pedigree information was collected up to the founder ancestors. The population was described using inbreeding coefficient and average relationship. The parameters were computed using Endog software. The average inbreeding of the reference population was 6.8% whereas it was 5.65% for the whole population. The average relationship was 12.7% and 10.55% for the reference population and the total population, respectively.

Cím:Effect of spring stimulating feeding on the population shift of honeybee (Apis mellifera L.) colonies depending on the age of queen bees in Hungary / Takács Marianna, Oláh János
Dátum:2020
Megjegyzések:The effect of spring stimulating feeding on population shift and development of honey bee, Apis mellifera L. (Hymentoptera: Apidae), colonies were examined in a 2-year study (2016- 2017). An apiary trial was conducted in Nyírmada, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, Hungary. The monitoring covered the number of brood-frames of honeybee colonies with different age queen bees in both years. The spring development study included 59 colonies in the first test year and 58 colonies in the second test year. The data were recorded seven times in both years. Data on number of brood frames were subjected to one-way analysis of variance and the Tukey-test was used to compare means as post-hoc test. During the evaluation of our results we experienced that in the time of population shift all three queenyears were different in both years. This trend was also typical on 19th May 2017, when the honey collection from black locust influenced the brood areas. The significant difference during honey collection from black locust can be helpful in determining the proper time of queen change. The premature population shift was experienced on 17th April in 2017, which may have been caused by spring incentive feeding. The population shift was detected on 1st May in 2016, when the spring feeding was only a half a kilogram of pie. The effects of incentive feeding were reflected in the spring development of colonies.
