Cím:Possibilities of geothermal energy utilization around Létavértes / Tamás Buday, Miklós Kozák, Richard William McIntosh, Zoltán Püspöki
Dátum:2012
ISSN:1788-4497
Megjegyzések:A geothermal project led by the Faculty of Engineering, University of Debrecen (UD) studied the geothermal exploitationmethods and utilization possibilities around the Hungarian-Romanian border, between Létavétes and Sacuieni. The research group of the Department of Mineralogy and Geology, UD determined the hydrogeothermal properties of the Hungarian part of the study area based on geological, seismic and well-log data. The variable tectono-morphology of the basement and the conditions of Pannonian sedimentation in the area allow almost all of the geothermal exploitation methods such as EGS, conventional wells, and closed shallow systems with heat pump. The geothermal reservoirs of the area are large and separated vertically therefore at least 4 production wells and 4 injection wells can operate simultaneously below the shallow wells. The complex utilization of geothermal energy around Létavértes includes electricity generation, district and space heating, producing sanitary hot water, bathing, possible usage of agricultural and industrial purposes, and heat pump applications as well. The total amount of energy performance is estimated to be 36MWth and 5MWe that would cover a significant portion of the subregion's energy demand.

Cím:Necessity, experiences and abilities of deep heat mining / Tamás Buday, Miklós Kozák
Dátum:2007
ISSN:1788-4497
Megjegyzések:Today's energy crisis enforced the development of researching renewable energy resources the new types of which bear the possibility of widespread utilisation among which electricity production has greatest significance. Geothermal energy utilisation meant primarily and traditionally the direct or indirect usage of heat excavated from thermal water production. There were only a few examples for electric energy production from which Larderello and Iceland are pioneers. Experimental programmes of fracturing and water circulation based heat excavation power plant types are promising. The present publication reviews the experiences, limits, risks and plantation possibilities of this latter technique in Hungary. The preliminary geothermal heat excavation system models formed on the basis of estimations on areas lacking essential data, were not completely supported by experiments. One of the conclusions is that deep drilling and geophysical reconnaissance researches are expedient.

Cím:Development of erosional microforms and soils on semi-natural and anthropogenic influenced solonetzic grasslands / Tibor József Novák, Csaba Albert Tóth
Dátum:2016
ISSN:0169-555X
Megjegyzések:The rate of berm erosion and its effect on soil properties and vegetation were investigated at two sampling plots, one semi-natural and the other heavily affected by anthropogenic influences, between 1998 and 2012. The two sampling areas are similar in terms of natural characteristics, and adjacently located in the Hortobágy, a very flat plain with Solonetz soils. In the course of berm-formation, both erosion and deposition take place within a few meters' range, so we were able to obtain the rate of each process for both experimental plots. The erosion rates of the DS plot under semi-natural conditions, and the MS plot affected by anthropogenic influences, were 1.99 and 4.49 kg m? 2 year?1, respectively, and the rate of deposition were 2.12 and 2.78 kg m? 2 year?1. The recession speed of the berm edges was determined to be 10 ? 3 mm year?1 for the DS plot and 26 ? 8 mm year?1 for the MS plot. During the period of our investigation, all the calcium-carbonate content, pHH2O, pHKCl, electrical conductivity (EC1:2.5), exchangeable cation content (?cations), and exchangeable Na percentage (ESP) of the soil in the MS plot showed significant changes, whereas in the soil of the DS plot only EC1:2.5 and ?cations changed significantly. Both EC1:2.5 and ?cations decreased in both soil profiles. At the DS plot, ESP did not change substantially, whereas at the MS plot it increased significantly. The results of the experiments revealed that in the course of berm erosion, the rates of the spatially extremely versatile, mosaic-like erosion and deposition processes show significant differences even within a small area, depending on environmental influences. Although this tendency may only prevail over shorter distances because of the exceptionally low relief energy, and can be balanced out in larger spatial ranges, both erosion and deposition are considerably more intensive and accelerated in areas affected by anthropogenic influences.
