Megjegyzések:An essential part of the health system is the ambulance service, whose main task is to provide patients with high quality care. In the spirit of the above, the aim of the study is to explore the spatial characteristics of the ambulance service in a Hungarian territorial unit, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county. The main findings of the study are: - The geographical location of ambulance stations in the county is strongly influenced by geography and demographic characteristics. - The designation of the coverage areas of ambulance station is fundamentally consistent with the access time to the respective ambulance stations. - The accessibility of each settlement from the ambulance station and the time needed to travel the ambulance station - location - hospital route differ for the speed allowed by the Highway Code and for the speed of 60 km/h

Megjegyzések:Taking into account the importance of exercise the main aim of this paper is to examine the availability of physical education facilities at Hungarian primary and secondary schools, and their territorial characteristics. As a result it can be stated that the situation of these institutions in this regard is fundamentally favourable. On the other hand the spatial characteristics of these facilities is influenced by different factors from which in the case of districts the level the development and the number of population and on settlement level the number of population plays the most decisive role.

Megjegyzések:The EU access of Eastern European former socialist countries has presented new frames of rural development in principles, key actors and terminology as well. In the spirit of the above our article aims to highlight the essential attributes of LEADER approach in Hungary. The most important results of our research can be summarized in the following major statements: firstly we may argue that a critical mass of participants is needed for a proper realization of individual action plans. Secondly it can be stated that LEADER principles create an overlapping and united system which set up a proper frame for the implementation of the programme additionally the whole method is different from the earlier achievements of the EU agricultural policy. Finally the Hungarian (and probably the Central European) state-of the art is quite unique because of local anomalies.

Megjegyzések:At the beginning of the 1990s cross-border co-operations were in the making along the entire Hungarian border. The most significant such cross-border co-operation along the eastern border was the Carpathians Euroregion, that can beregarded as a mega regional model. Later the Hajdú-Bihar - Bihor and the Bihar - Bihor euroregions were established following the model of small regional euroregions. Communities on the two sides of the Romanian-Hungarian border have the same needs and demands. These could be satisfied with the establishment of an Eurometropolis, an European Regional Co-operation Group. Positive results aresuggested by the fact that this form of co-operations has already been used successfully.
