Megjegyzések:JERUSALEM artichoke (JA) is a promising crop, classified as a foodstuff (tubers), animal feed (fodder or silage), and an energy crop (for bioethanol production). This crop has several economic benefits including the production of inulin, fructose, and proteins, as well as raw materials for the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries. The present review mainly focus on the anatomical structure of unstressed JA which has distinguished features for stems, leaves, stomata and trichomes. Anatomy of JA plant may support its responses to harsher conditions including the physiological and metabolic changes. Under stress conditions, JA may undergo some biochemical and anatomical adaptations to survive depending on the kind of stress, abiotic (e.g., drought, salinity, waterlogging, heat stress, etc.) and biotic (insects, microbes, herbivorous, etc.). Hence, due to the rare or may be no studies on anatomical structure of cultivated JA under stress, many futures studies are strongly required to reflect the real anatomical situation of stressed JA plants.

Megjegyzések:Hazánk egyik legjelentősebb fafaja az akác (Robinia pseudoacacia L.). Előnyös termesztési tulajdonságai széles körben ismertek. Ugyanakkor meg kell jegyezni, hogy a különböző törzshibák, valamint az alacsony iparifa-kihozatal szintén jellemző az akácra. Ez utóbbi negatív tulajdonságok miatt, a törzsminőség javítását, valamint a fatermés fokozását célzó kutatások indultak az 1960-as években. Az akác szelekciós nemesítésével, szelektált akácfajták, fajtajelöltek, klónok termesztési technológiai fejlesztésével kapcsolatos kutatások ma is zajlanak. Ennek a kutatómunkának gyakorlati jelentősége többek között az iparifa-ültetvényeknél lehet. Az Erdészeti Tudományos Intézet kutatói a Napkori Erdőgazdák Zrt. munkatársaival közösen létrehoztak egy kísérleti akác iparifa-ültetvényt, melyben három különböző ültetési hálózatban (2,5 x 2,5 m; 3 x 3 m; 4 x 4 m), négy klón (Pl251, Pl040, NK1, NK2) és egy államilag elismert akácfajta ('Üllői' akác) vizsgálata történik. A faállomány-szerkezeti vizsgálatokon túl, növényélettani mérések (normalizált vegetációs index, levélfelület index) is folynak. A 2 éves klónok állomány felvételi eredményeinek összehasonlítása során magasság és tőátmérő tekintetében is szignifikáns különbség (p<0,05) mutatkozott. Összevetve, mindegyik ültetési hálózatban a NK2 jelzésű klón bizonyult a legjobbnak.

Megjegyzések:Black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia L.) is one of the most widespread tree species introduced into Europe and also into Hungary. It covers 24% of the total Hungarian forest area, providing 25% of the annual timber output of the country. Due to the demands of consumers, new cultivars are to be produced by means of improvement techniques and are to be introduced into the practical forestry use. Mono- and multiclonal cultivars were developed, then variety comparison trials and cultivation tests were established. Based on preliminary yield tests the locust cultivar ♭Jászkiséri' (Robinia pseudoacacia 'Jászkiséri') proved to be one of the best black locust cultivars. Consequently, a more precise investigation of the stand structure of this cultivar may also make a significant contribution to the improvement of the relevant cultivation technology. In this study, based on full inventories of 13 stands in 7 subcompartments, age of 5 to 35 years, relationships of mean tree volume to diameter (R2 = 0.9797) and basal area (R2 = 0.9781), furthermore the relationship between mean tree volume and diameter of the stands (R2 = 0.9993) were examined. Besides that, the comparison of 15-year-old ♭Jászkiséri' and common black locust (a case study) were presented in this paper, where ♭Jászkiséri' proved to be better: significant differences (P < 0.05) were found in diameter, mean tree volume and stem form.

Megjegyzések:Understanding the various processes and relationships that take place in forest ecosystems is generally possible only through long-term observations. This is especially true of the biological production of forests, through the in-depth exploration of their structure. In Hungary the black walnut (Juglans nigra L.) is one of the most valuable exotic tree species, mainly because of its very valuable wood, with fine tissues and unique colour, for furniture industry. Generally, the species is established by manual seeding, and can also be regenerated well by coppice shoots, but not by natural seeding. Black walnut regularly produces seeds from the age of 25?30 years and its rotation age is 70?80 years. It is also used outside forests due to the very decorative stem and crown shapes. In this paper, out of the stand structure factors, the relationships between age and height (r? = 0.7205), age and diameter (r? = 0.7719), age and number of stems per ha (r? = 0.3485) as well as between diameter and number of stems per ha (r? = 0.4595), all considered important for cultivation technology, were examined (based on the data collected in 34 black walnut stands, age of 7 to 67 years). We also analysed the diameter distributions in two black walnut stands with tending operations, reporting them as a case study. Its future role may be increased mainly on sandy soils of better quality, therefore the more accurate exploration of the structure of black walnut stands growing under such conditions can be considered as gap-filling.

Megjegyzések:The use of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) is a recent concerned application in the indoor crop system of the modern plant production. In our research, we evaluated the influence of four monochromic LED lights including 100% White (W), Yellow (Y), Red (R) and Blue (B) in comparison to solar lightening condition (GR) as a control. In this regard, some morphological characteristics and biochemical content of the common outdoor ♭Iceberg' lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) was measured. The results show that leaf length, leaf area and total head weight were significantly greater in the plants grown under B LED, while all the other physical parameters were significantly higher in the plants grown under GR environmental conditions. On the other hand, chlorophyll (Chl), carotenoids (Car), and nitrate content were also influenced by different light treatments. Plants grown under LED light treatment resulted in significantly higher chlorophyll content compared to the control. However, significantly greater carotenoid content was in the plants grown under GR condition. The highest total chlorophyll content was recorded under B and R LED, whereas the lowest was in the GR condition. The lowest nitrate content in the blade and petiole was recorded in the plants grown under Y LED, while the highest nitrate content was recorded in the GR. Based on our result, it is possible to grow and improve some quality parameters of common outdoor ♭iceberg' lettuce under LED where the solar light is limited or unavailable. Thus, plants performed better under GR light conditions than monochromic LEDs; however, some LED lights could improve some quality parameters and biochemical contents in the ♭iceberg' lettuce variety

Megjegyzések:The study aimed to assess the role of having knowledge and essential hygiene practices to prevent coronavirus pandemic and to find out the relationship between people's knowledge and good hygiene practices with socio-demographic variables during coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic situation. In this study, data were collected from 248 respondents for cross-sectional study using voluntary response sampling from April, 30 2020 to May, 30 2020, during lockdown situation in Bangladesh. Descriptive statistics were done to calculate the frequencies and percentages by using Stata SE 14.2 (StataCorp). Chi-square was performed at the significance level of 5% to find the factors which were associated with knowledge about COVID-19. After knowing about COVID-19, 86.29% respondents had taken preventive measures and 71.37% respondents had agreed to stay at home. Among the respondents, 47.98% were involved in services and were positively associated with good general knowledge of preventive practices. Our present findings indicated significant relationship between good general knowledge and practice of general people towards COVID-19 outbreak in Bangladesh. The findings of the study are helpful for the researchers and the population to follow all good promotional practices for preventive measures against coronavirus. ? 2021, Intelektual Pustaka Media Utama.
