Megjegyzések:	There are many options for open accesspublishing of location-related information, thanks to thedevelopment of technology in the webGIS field. At the same time,geovizualization makes the interpretation of spatial data mucheasier. The aim of this study is to present the geovizualization of a Central-European forest reserve on the web, using open sourcedatabases (ASTER GDEM v2, CORINE CLC50) and the archivegenetic soil map. We used the open source QGIS software for the geoinformatics processing and publishing on the web. The resultsshowed us that we can represent not only the data in thegeoinformatics system on web, but also complex informationfrom the map elements, (for example: soil type, area, perimeter,categories of land cover, altitude), which help users not only toorientate, but also to understand the spatial information better.

Megjegyzések:	In order to satisfy the social demand for freely obtainable and usable soil information and resources, several national and international soil databases have already been available online for those who are interested. To establish a proper infrastructure for geospatial data with online sharing systems, it is essential that their information is authentic, relevant and freely available for the general public. This paper aims to introduce the beta version of an online, community shared multi-factor soil database developed by the University of Debrecen, Institute of Earth Sciences and Faculty of Informatics. The most important functions of the online system are the acquisition, archiving and geovisualisation of soil profiles, as well as sorting them in accordance to the reference groups established by WRB (World Reference Base for Soil Resources).
