Megjegyzések:Targeted cultivation (e.g. moisture saving tillage) is capable of improving soil fertility, while soil physical, chemical and biological processes can be influenced. The aim of cultivation has to be determined and the cultivation itself has to be applied by previously defining the tools, the tillage method and the tillage system. We set the aim to examine the impact of different basic cultivation methods on yield. In addition, we prepared the agro-economic analyses of the technologies built on each cultivation method, as well as an investment evaluation. Based on the experimental database of the Institute for Land Utilisation, Regional Development and Technology of the University of Debrecen, Centre for Agricultural and Applied Economic Sciences and the KITE Plc, various cultivation systems were examined with maize as indicator plant. Winter ploughing and strip till cultivation treatments were examined in 13 experimental locations. The yield obtained in the strip cultivation was 8.6% (0.56 t ha-1) higher. The income of the strip treatment was 42% (57 000 HUF ha-1) higher. The technological investment needed for strip tillage (basic cultivation tool, strip cleaning sowing machine, cultivator) cost about 40 million HUF. The application of strip technology on 400 ha is already profitable: the internal rate of return is 14% and the payback period is 5 years.
