Megjegyzések:The comparison of company performances, i.e., benchmarking, is becoming more and more critical. Presently, companies mostly use traditional financial ratios to evaluate their financial performance. We also use financial ratios to measure and compare company performances, from which we create complex efficiency coefficients using Data Envelopment Analysis. Using Data Envelopment Analysis, we analyzed the efficiency of retail food companies in Hungary's Northern Great Plain region from 2009 to 2014 using their financial reports. To improve the result of the performance measurement, we used the bootstrap method, the Hamiltonian Monte Carlo simulation, and Bayesian statistics. We transformed the primarily deterministic DEA method into a stochastic DEA model. The primary target of this extension is to enhance statistical inference in DEA and to integrate it with a stochastic mechanism of Bayesian techniques. To develop the stochastic DEA model, we use Stan Stochastic Modelling Language within the framework of the R Statistics. Analyzing the results, we can state that the DEA method can be used for analyzing efficiency, and the additions shown can make the evaluation much more accurate. We can conclude that the best results were produced by the combined method, during a simultaneous application of the input orientation.

Megjegyzések:Thermal and medical tourism in Hungary are characterised by a continuous development. The management, efficiency, operational effectiveness and offer of enterprises in the field of tourism influence the competitiveness of Hungary's tourism. In the present day economic life the thorough analysis of the enterprises' economy is indispensable. The result of the analytical methods applied by the report provide information for different stakeholders (owners, transporters, customers, employees, habilitators). The aim is to have data which inform us about the functioning, financial situation and profitability of the economic entities parallel with the factors and conditions determining these elements. In our paper we present the financial situation of the Demjén Thermal Spa Ltd., being one of the newest thermal spas of Hungary.

Megjegyzések:The international financial and economic crisis has brought more attention to riskmanagement. In the last years and nowadays almost every business has been experienced the crisiseffect and the resulting after-effects in their own skin. The economic crisis has also highlightedthat the companies can not continue to operate the same way as before the crisis, the future isrequired a very serious change. Risk is a fundamental component of agricultural production. Theagricultural enterprises have greater exposure to risk than other industry of the economy, andtherefore it is especially important to have to pay more attention to risk prediction andmanagement. There are simpler and more complicated risk assessment methods, starting with thefinancial ratios, through several statistical methods, as far as the different simulation models. Inour paper we deal with several financial ratios, and their effects on the business risk. The degreesof operating and financial leverage play an important role in measuring the business risk becausethey are some components of the risk. The measure of total firm's risk is the combined leverageratio. The clarity in regard to operating and financial leverage is important because these conceptsare important to assess the business risk. We present what factors influence the value of thefinancial and operating leverage. The paper analyses what have the indebtedness an effect on theshareholders' return. Based on the analysis we try to answer how affect the capital structure on theshareholder return and risk. The study is to provide support to the farmers to take in advanceaccount of risk in the course of their decision-makings and to avoid the bankruptcy.
