These are the first records ofMi. myrmicaeandI.eumerusfor Portugal, and fromMy. alobanests. Earlierrecords thatMy. alobais the only known host ant ofMa.alconin Portugal are confirmed. Further studies on thebiology of these isolated peripheral populations are neces-sary for their well-planned protection
