Cím:Energy-dependent collision-induced dissociation study of buprenorphine and its synthetic precursors / Bernadett Biri, József Kalmár, Lajos Nagy, Attila Sipos, Miklós Zsuga, Sándor Kéki
Dátum:2011
ISSN:0951-4198
Megjegyzések:The collision-induced dissociation (CID) of protonated buprenorphine ([M+H](+)) and four related compounds was studied by electrospray quadrupole/time-of-flight mass spectrometry (ESI-QTOF MS). The fragmentation pathways were investigated by using energy-dependent CID and pseudo-MS(3) (in-source CID combined with tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS)) methods. The first steps of the fragmentation are the parallel losses of the substituents from the non-aromatic ring moieties. Depending on the applied collision energies, a large number of further fragment ions arising from the cross-ring cleavages of the core-ring structure were observed. Based on the experimental results, a generalized fragmentation scheme was developed for the five buprenorphine derivatives highlighting the differences for the alternatively substituted compounds. The collision-energy-dependent fragmentation profile of buprenorphine is visualized in a two-dimensional plot to aid its fingerprint identification.

Cím:Fragmentation study of noscapine derivatives under electrospray conditions / Lajos Nagy, Ákos Kuki, Katalin Szabó, Attila Sipos, Miklós Zsuga, Sándor Kéki
Dátum:2014
ISSN:0951-4198
Megjegyzések:Noscapine is a biologically active molecule with anticancer activity among other things. Therefore, from analytical point of view, knowledge on mass spectrometric properties of noscapine and its derivatives is essential. The goal of the present study is to describe the collision-induced dissociation behavior of noscapine and its seven derivatives ionized by proton, lithium ion and sodium ion.

Cím:Chiral differentiation of the noscapine and hydrastine stereoisomers by electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry / Tibor Nagy, Ákos Kuki, Borbála Antal, Lajos Nagy, Mihály Purgel, Attila Sipos, Miklós Nagy, Miklós Zsuga, Sándor Kéki
Dátum:2015
ISSN:1076-5174 1096-9888
Megjegyzések:Energy dependent collision-induced dissociation (CID) of the dimers [2M+Cat]+ of the noscapine and hydrastine stereoisomers was studied where Cat stands for Li+, Na+, K+ and Cs+ ions. These dimers were generated "in situ" from the electrosprayed solution. The survival yield (SY) method was used for distinguishing the noscapine and hydrastine dimers. Significant differences were found between the characteristic collision energies (CE50, i.e. the collision energy necessary to obtain 50% fragmentation) of the homo- (R,R; S,S) and heterochiral (R,S; S,R) stereoisomers. To distinguish the enantiomer pairs L-, D-tyrosine ([M+Tyr+Cat]+) and L-, D-lysine ([M+Lys+Cat]+) were used as chiral selectors. Furthermore, these heterodimers [M+amino acid+Cat]+ were also applied to determine the stereoisomeric composition. It was found that the characteristic collision energy (CE50) of the noscapine and hydrastine homodimers ([2M+Cat]+) was inversely proportional to the ionic radius of the cations. Furthermore, the structures of the dimers [2M+Cat]+ were studied by high level quantum chemical calculations.
