Megjegyzések:The research work has been carried out at the Látókép Research Site of the University of Debrecen, Centre for Agricultural Sciences, Farm and Regional Research Institute on calcareous chernozem soil in. We examined the effects of sowing times and the fungicide treatments on the phytopathogenic characteristics phytopathological properties of sunflower hybrids. In order to characterize the phytopathological properties of sunflower hybrids in a complex way infection index (Ii) has been elaborated. The infection of sunflower populations by fungal phytopathogenes was mainly determined by the weather conditions of the crop year. The development of infection indexes depended mainly on the sowing time in the studied crop years (r=-0.806**, r=-0.755**). Fungicide application had significant contribution to the moderation of the unfavourable effect of sowing time in both years and thus it decreased the infection index of sunflower populations (r=-0.464**, r=-0.578**). Plant phytopathogenes resulted in significant yield loss in sunflower populations only in the crop year of 2012 that was characterized by heavy infection.

Megjegyzések:The yield and maximal leaf area index of three sunflower hybrids (P64LC09, Paraiso 1000, ES Tektonic) were studied in two crop protection models with different input levels (extensive=without fungicide treatments, mid-tech= two fungicide treatments) on chernozem soil in two different years (2012 and 2013). A field experiment was set up at the experimental farm of the University of Debrecen, at Látókép on calcareous chernozem soil. The highest LAI values were measured in the beginning of July for all the three hybrids in the case of both cropyears. During our investigation, the yield results of the cropyear 2012 (1828-3602 kg ha-1) were significantly below those of the cropyear of 2013 (4292-5902 kg ha-1). With respect to the yield amount, the higher plant density (55000 plant ha-1) were optimal.

Megjegyzések:Our experiment, set up at the Látókép AGTC MÉK research area of the University of Debrecen, focused on studying the effects of planting time on the growth of sunflower hybrids of two different genotypes (NK Neoma, SY Revelio) under different fungicide treatments in 2012. During our research, early sown plants produced the largest leaf area in the case of both treatments and hybrids (control: NK Neoma: 4.7 m2/m2, SY Revelio: 5.3 m2/m2; double-treated: NK Neoma: 4.9 m2/m2, SY Revelio: 5.3 m2/m2). For both treatments, maximum leaf coverage was measured on 2 July, 2013 in the case of early sown hybrids and on 23 July, 2013 in the case of late sown ones. As for hybrids sown in average planting times, maximum leaf coverage was measured on 2 July, 2013 in the case of the control parcels and on 23 July, 2013 in the case of the double-treated ones. Two-time fungicide treatments lead to the conservation of the green leaf area in the case of hybrid SY Revelio. By postponing the planting time in the control parcels, maximum plant height fell in the case of both hybrids. On the other hand, in the case of double-treated hybrids, the largest plant height (182 cm) was measured at late planting for NK Neoma and at average planting time for SY Revelio (197 cm).
