Megjegyzések:Nanotechnology has been revolutionized penetrating all sectors in our life through the nanoscience as an essential science for a wide range of technologies. Amazing achievements resulted from this nanotechnology including all agricultural fields such as plant nutrition and crop productivity, energy sector, food sector, and plant biotechnology. A conjugation between plant biotechnology and nanotechnology has been produced an important science called plant bio-nanotechnology. Several fields have been invaded through different nanobiotechnology applications in agriculture including (1) the nanotechnology of encapsulated agro-chemicals, (2) the monitoring of different environmental stresses and crop conditions using nanobiosensors, (3) the improvement of crop production and ameliorating plants against diseases and (4) solution several environmental problems. The crop productivity also could be improved using some new agro-chemicals (e.g., nanofertilizers and nanopesticides). These agro-chemicals are very effective in delivering encapsulating nanomaterials and then enhancement the productivity of crops as well as the suppress plant pests and diseases and protecting the environment from pollution. On the other hand, nanoparticles could enter the food chain via different nano-agrochemicals or nano-processed foods. Therefore, many approaches including uptake of nanoparticles by plants, entry and bio-distribution of nanoparticles into the food chain are needed before using of different bionanotechnological tools in agro-production sector. Further new regulations should be created or re-built for new approaches in plant bionanotechnology. Therefore, this review will focus on our needs and risks in the plant nano-biotechnology.

Megjegyzések:IT is well known that, sustainable agriculture is an important part of sustainable development. This sustainable agriculture should lead to achieve food security and maintain the biodiversity of natural ecosystems. Sustainable agriculture also should have definitely a global perspective. The conservation of both soil and water resources, therefore, is considered an essential prerequisite as well as the efficient use of mineral and organic fertilizers. This could be achieved by improving agro-technology and better understanding of the essential processes in soils. Foliar application of agrochemicals including fertilizers should be improved seeking for the sustainability of agriculture. The present review will focus on the effects of foliar application of nutrients for plant nutrition and its biofortification. Proper timing of foliar application, endo-, exogenous and environmental factors affecting foliar nutrition, influence of mineral fertilizer nutritional quality of staple food crops and finally nano-foliar nutrition as well as postharvest quality of crops will be also highlighted.

Megjegyzések:Selenium, the beneficial or quasi-essential element to higher plants, is an essential micronutrient for animals and humans as well as lower plants. in several countries around the world, about one billion of people are se-deficient and counteract this problem, e.g., brazil, thailand, china and egypt due to the low inherent se concentration in soils. therefore, different se forms have been used in different crops using foliar and soil application as well as seed priming to increase the se content in the edible parts of these crops. due to its physiolocial roles in higher plants, se has been used in counteracting various abiotic stresses including chilling, freezing, heat, drought, salinity, uv-b and heavy metals. concerning se and its interactions with some nutrients like cu, mo, zn and iodine, a very few studies have been published, so further studies are needed. on the other hand, nano-se and its roles in plant physiology under different abiotic stresses still also need further researches. therefore, this review will focus on the physiological importance of se and nano-se for higher plants under abiotic stresses as well as the interaction of se with some nutrients including cu, mo, zn and iodine and some heavy metals such as As, Sb, Cd, Cr, Hg and Pb.

Megjegyzések:Bio- and nano-fertilizers are one of the most important tools in modern agriculture and agri-food as well as a driving economic force in the near future. Also, bio-and nano-fertilizers also play an important role as promising methods for increasing use efficiency of different water and land resources, reducing environmental pollutions as well. So, environment friendly biotechnological approaches may offer alternatives to chemical fertilizers. Types of bio-fertilizers such as Rhizobium, Azospirillum, Cyanobacteria, Azolla, Azotobacter and Acetobaceter as well as P, K and Zn solubilizermicrobes are the most important microbial traits in soil biogeochemical cycles and plant growth promotion. The biosynthesis of nanomaterials using bacteria, algae, yeast, fungi, actinomycetes and plants has led to a new area of research for the formation of inorganic nanoparticles as eco-friendly fertilizers. Now, use of nanofertilizers in plant nutrition is one of the major roles of nanotechnology in agriculture and soil sciences. Thus, the application of biosynthesized nanoparticles in agricultural sector may lead to sustainable development. Hence, this leads to sustainable agriculture through putting less inputs and generating less wastes, minimizing nutrient losses, and release nutrients at a proper rate for plant demand comparing with conventional farming. There is very slight difference between bio-and nano-fertilizers depending on their mechanisms in the soil and plant, application methods, effective rates of addition as well as their impact on the environment. However, both nano-and bio-fertilizers and their interaction are needed further studies. Therefore, this review will focus on the new insights and a comparison between both nano- and bio-fertilizers.

Megjegyzések:Soil biodiversity and its security are important global issues nowadays. These issues have a great concern day by day under the changing universe. This significant concern comes from the relation between soil biodiversity and its security and soil productivity on one side and the global food crisis on the other hand. Therefore, great initiations have been adopted by some scientists like Diana Wall, Rattan Lal, Alex McBratney, Damien Field, Cristine Morgan, Lorna Jarrett, Johan Bouma and Andrea Koch. These initiations have resulted in the Global Soil Biodiversity Initiative and the book entitled "Global Soil Security". As well known, several serious environmental challenges face the humanity including the security of food, water, energy, climate changes and protection the global biodiversity. So, the journal of Environment, Biodiversity and Soil Security (EBSS) has been issued. This journal is an attempt to highlight on these environmental challenges and the suitable solutions seeking for a sustainable development.

Megjegyzések:Many global problems threaten our life on the Planet including climate changes, environmental pollution, food and soil security, energy crisis, etc. This environmental pollution has not only mainly serious risks and stress involving the human health and safety of the entire ecosystem but also the quantity and quality of crops productivity worldwide. Due to the great gap between the global food production and the global consumption, there is a crucial need to cultivate these contaminated lands sooner or later. Therefore, the removing of pollutants from soils and waters should be performed in frame of sustainable remediation and sustainable energy production accordingly. Depending on many factors (source and kind of pollutants, land use and the economics of water and soil resources, etc) many strategies should be addressed for the sustainable and integrated management of polluted lands. Nanoremediation is a promising strategy in controlling pollution and management. Three major applications of nanoremediation could be characterized including detection of pollution using nanosensors, prevention of pollution, purification and remediation of contamination. Further studies also concerning the impact of changing climate on the nanoremediation process in the agroecosystems should be considered. Thus, this review will focus on the evaluation of environmental nanoremediation and its strategy in polluted lands under climate changes. Using of nanotechnology in pollution control as well as the environmental pollution and its sustainable management also will be highlighted.

Dátum:2019
ISSN:2536-9423
Megjegyzések:There is no doubt that the universe is totally controlled by the Great Creator (God or Allah). Allah created everything in this universe, from humans (Man) to animals, plants, soils, air, water, etc., where everything was made or created from water. Concerning the creation of humans, Allah created or made all things in an excellent phase and the first step of human creation was fashioned from clay. These steps include the creation of Man from spurting water, a drop of semen, the sperm fashioned into an embryo, this embryo fashioned into a shapeless lump of flesh, then from the lump of flesh, fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh and then created the consanguinity and affinity. So, a very strong link between soil and human health has been reported and the great roles of soils in plant and human nutrition have also have been established. On the other hand, the effect of pollution of soils and their security on human health should be considered. Therefore, this review is an attempt to emphasize the great roles of soils in human creation and health as well as the security of soils under pollution conditions.

Megjegyzések:Due to the human activities, several xenobiotics like nanomaterials have been contaminated the environment. These nanomaterials have been gained much more attention from scientists worldwide. The fate and transformation of nanomaterials in agroecosystems were and still one of the most issues all over the world. Therefore, enormous studies have been published concerning these nanomaterials and their applications in different fields including agricultural, medicinal and industrial sectors. The agricultural applications include soil and water nano-remediation, plant nano-nutrition, plant nano-protection, etc. Moreover, the agri-nanotechnology has many environmental and agricultural challenges including agri-sustainability, management of plant diseases and crop protection, remediating the environmental pollution, water management, minimizing the loss of nutrients and their optimizing as well as ameliorating plant abiotic stresses. On the other hand, nanomaterials under certain concentrations may generate and exhibit many toxic effects on plants due to inducing different reactive species like oxygen and nitrogen. Therefore, further studies are needed at different levels including molecular and subcellular levels in order to determine the behavior of nanomaterials in inhibiting and/or in inducing plant stress. The mode of action of this behavior also is needed more elucidations under different agroecosystem conditions. This review is an attempt to evaluate the behavior of nanomaterials under plant abiotic stress and agroecosystem conditions. The role of nanomaterials in ameliorating plant abiotic stresses mainly will be also highlighted.
