Megjegyzések:Gallus Huszár's Hymnal published in Debrecen in 1560 is the earliest completely preserved Hungarian protestant hymn-book. It is a very significant canzional as its melodies and song-poems are the bases of today Protestant liturgy. It comprises the congregational songs of the whole year, and a Prime-orders for one week. The reinterpretation of the data regarding the melodies revealed new results about the origin of the Hungarian Protestant congregational songs. These songs clearly prove that in opposition to the assumptions made till now, the Hungarian Protestant songs have, instead of a Czech Bohemian-Moravian influence, a German one. The morning services demonstrate a unique particularity in Europe. They are an unmatched Hungarian adaptation of how the German and Helvetic Reformation considered music: the early Hungarian Protestant liturgy was a gregorian liturgy sung in the mother tongue.
