Megjegyzések:	A case of Rhinoceros viper (Bitis nasicornis)bite is reported. The bitten hand distended to thewrist, which was tense and painful, with only mildlocal livid discolouration manifested around thefang mark. Slight hypertension with moderatetachycardia and temporary coagulopathy were observed.The patient received analgesic and intravenousfluids, antibiotics and anti-tetanus therapy.Use of antiserum was not necessary. The bittenperson was treated in the main centre for snakebitefirst aid: in the Toxicological Ward of ErzsébetHospital of Budapest. We attach importanceto the implications of this case because envenomingby B. nasicornis being relatively rare in captivityall over the world (particularly in Europe andthe USA), as well as in the wilderness in Africa.
