Megjegyzések:Dear Sir,Polyether polyols especially those composed of polypropyleneglycol chains are important building blocks and chemical crosslinkersof the soft and rigid polyurethane foams.[1-3] Polyetherpolyols owing to the reactive hydroxyl end-groups can easilyreact with diisocyanates to give cross-linked networks withvarious chemical and physical (mechanical) properties.[4,5]Among the polyether polyols used in the polyurethaneindustry,[6,7] the importance of propoxylated ethylenediamine hasbeen steadily growing.[8,9] The propoxylated ethylenediaminesprimarily are used in the production of rigid polyurethane foamsfor applications such as appliance and pipe insulations, rigidblock and panel manufacturing, and they find applications inpolyurethane adhesives and castings.[10] The propoxylatedethylenediamines are synthesized by reacting ethylenediaminewith propylene oxide as depicted in Scheme 1.

Megjegyzések:Polyisobutylenes (PIBs) with different end-groups including chlorine, exoolefin, hydroxyl, and methyl prepared from aliphatic and aromatic initiators werestudied by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS). Independently ofthe end-groups, presence or absence of aromatic initiator moiety, these PIB derivativeswere capable of forming adduct ions with NO3? and Cl? ions, thus allowing thedirect characterization of these compounds in the negative ion mode of ESI-MS. Toobtain [PIB + NO3]? and [PIB + Cl]? adduct ions with appreciable intensities, additionof polar solvents such as acetone, 2-propanol, or ethanol to the dichloromethanesolution of PIBs was necessary. Furthermore, increasing both the polarity (by increasingthe acetone content) and the ion-source temperature give rise to enhancedintensities for both [PIB + NO3]? and [PIB + Cl]? ions. Energy-dependent collision induced dissociation studies(CID) revealed that increasing the collision voltages resulted in the shift of the apparent molecular masses tohigher ones. CID studies also showed that dissociation of the [PIB + Cl]? ions requires higher collision energythan that of [PIB + NO3]?. In addition, Density Functional Theory calculations were performed to gain insights intothe nature of the interactions between the highly non-polar PIB chains and anions NO3? and Cl? as well as todetermine the zero-point corrected electronic energies for the formation of [PIB + NO3]? and [PIB + Cl]? adductions.

Cím:Direct analysis in real time mass spectrometry (DART-MS) of highly non-polar low molecular weight polyisobutylenes / Lajos Nagy, Tibor Nagy, György Deák, Ákos Kuki, Borbála Antal, Miklós Zsuga, Sándor Kéki
Dátum:2015
ISSN:1076-5174 1096-9888
Megjegyzések:Lowmolecular weight polyisobutylenes (PIB) with chlorine, olefin and succinic acid end-groups were studied using direct analysisin real time mass spectrometry (DART-MS). To facilitate the adduct ion formation under DART conditions, NH4Cl as an auxiliaryreagent was deposited onto the PIB surface. It was found that chlorinated adduct ions of olefin and chlorine telechelic PIBs,i.e. [M + Cl] up to m/z 1100, and the deprotonated polyisobutylene succinic acid [M?H] were formed as observed in the negativeion mode. In the positive ion mode formation of [M+NH4]+, adduct ions were detected. In the tandem mass (MS/MS) spectra of[M+ Cl] , product ions were absent, suggesting a simple dissociation of the precursor [M+ Cl] into a Cl ion and a neutral Mwithout fragmentation of the PIB backbones. However, structurally important product ions were produced from the corresponding[M+NH4]+ ions, allowing us to obtain valuable information on the arm-length distributions of the PIBs containing aromaticinitiator moiety. In addition, a model was developed to interpret the oligomer distributions and the number average molecularweights observed in DART-MS for PIBs and other polymers of low molecular weight.

Cím:Rapid qualitative analysis of 2 flavonoids, rutin and silybin, in medical pills by direct analysis in real-time mass spectrometry (DART-MS) combined with in situ derivatization / Tibor Nagy, Ákos Kuki, Lajos Nagy, Miklós Zsuga, Sándor Kéki
Dátum:2018
ISSN:1076-5174
Megjegyzések:Direct analysis in real-time mass spectrometry (DART-MS) with in situ silylation was used for the rapid analysis of the flavonoids silybin ((2R,3R)-3,5,7-trihydroxy-2-[3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-2-hydroxymethyl-2,3-dihydrobenzo[1,4]dioxin-6-yl]chroman-4-one) and rutin (quercetin-3-O-rutinoside). Three different derivatization reagents, hexamethyldisilazane/trimethylchlorosilane/pyridine (HMDS/TMCS/pyridine), N,O-bis(trimethylsilyl)acetamide/trimethylchlorosilane/N-trimethylsilyimidazole (BSA/TMCS/TMSI), and N,O-bis(trimethylsilyl)trifluoroacetamide/trimethylchlorosilane (BSTFA/TMCS), were applied. Silybin and rutin were detected with various degrees of silylation, and the formation of dimers with pyridine and imidazole was also observed. HMDS/TMCS/pyridine was the best choice for the DART-MS analysis of silybin, and BSA/TMCS/TMSI was the most effective for the detection of rutin. The effects of the DART source temperature on desorption, ionization, in-source fragmentation, dimer formation, and hydrolysis of the trimethylsilyl groups were also studied. In addition, the collision-induced dissociation properties of the derivatized silybin and rutin were explored. With our in situ silylation method, the derivatized bioactive compounds in intact medical pills could also be detected by DART-MS.

Cím:Chiral differentiation of the noscapine and hydrastine stereoisomers by electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry / Tibor Nagy, Ákos Kuki, Borbála Antal, Lajos Nagy, Mihály Purgel, Attila Sipos, Miklós Nagy, Miklós Zsuga, Sándor Kéki
Dátum:2015
ISSN:1076-5174 1096-9888
Megjegyzések:Energy dependent collision-induced dissociation (CID) of the dimers [2M+Cat]+ of the noscapine and hydrastine stereoisomers was studied where Cat stands for Li+, Na+, K+ and Cs+ ions. These dimers were generated "in situ" from the electrosprayed solution. The survival yield (SY) method was used for distinguishing the noscapine and hydrastine dimers. Significant differences were found between the characteristic collision energies (CE50, i.e. the collision energy necessary to obtain 50% fragmentation) of the homo- (R,R; S,S) and heterochiral (R,S; S,R) stereoisomers. To distinguish the enantiomer pairs L-, D-tyrosine ([M+Tyr+Cat]+) and L-, D-lysine ([M+Lys+Cat]+) were used as chiral selectors. Furthermore, these heterodimers [M+amino acid+Cat]+ were also applied to determine the stereoisomeric composition. It was found that the characteristic collision energy (CE50) of the noscapine and hydrastine homodimers ([2M+Cat]+) was inversely proportional to the ionic radius of the cations. Furthermore, the structures of the dimers [2M+Cat]+ were studied by high level quantum chemical calculations.
