Megjegyzések:	Accelerated partial breast irradiation can be applied by means of different techniques. Itoffers an opportunity for reducing the treatment duration considerably and harbours thepotential for less exposure of healthy tissue to higher radiation doses. However, evidenceissued from randomized trials is limited. European and American experts call our attentionto the potential dangers of widespread implementation of these techniques without anylong-term data on outcome and ask for complete information of patients on the potentialhazards and risks if accelerated partial breast irradiation is used instead of whole breastirradiation.(Belg J Med Oncol 2011;5:3-7)

Megjegyzések:	Surgery is considered to be the standard treatment for intrahepatic malignancies, primary cancers and metastatic lesions. However, a great many patients are not eligible for surgical intervention. Modern stereotactic radiotherapy has the potential to be an effective alternativetreatment modality with low toxicity for patients with primary hepatocellular carcinomaand liver oligometastases. In this paper we intend to review the current status and publishedexperiences in the field of liver irradiation.
