Megjegyzések:The current maturity of enterprises has a significant development potential for the introduction of new technologies, and requires significant physical, mental and material resources. In this research, we examined the impact of the risk factors of Hungarian food production companies, Industry 4.0 tools, and the supporting and hindering factors affecting the companies, and how they affect changes in business performance. The questionnaire survey took place between 2019 and 2020, during which time we collected data from 276 food companies. The data were then analysed using a number of statistical methods: Cronbach's alpha index, factor analysis, PLS pathway analysis, indicator reliability index, composition reliability index, mean explained variance index, Fornell-Larcker criterion, heterotrait-monotrait ratio, magnitude of effect, fit goodness, predictive relevance, and road model coefficients. In this study we formulated three hypotheses related to Industry 4.0 tools, external and internal risk factors, and business performance, which we were able to accept during the study. By analysing the risk factors, we try to identify the types of external and internal risks that are most characteristic of companies, so that they can react to them as efficiently and quickly as possible, thus making the company effective and efficient at the same time.

Megjegyzések:A gyorsan változó környezetnek köszönhetően a termelési stratégiák fontossága egyre inkább nyilvánvalóbbá vált. Hazánk versenyképességének változása jórészt a nemzetközi kapcsolatok kialakulásának köszönhető. A munkaerő-alapú gazdaság helyett a tudásalapú versenyképesség kerül előtérbe. A kutatás célja, annak vizsgálata, hogy milyen mértékben befolyásolja a vállalatok nemzetközi jelenléte és a technológiák használata a vállalatok termelési teljesítményének javulását. Empirikus alapokon összefoglaljuk, hogy a 2010-2017-es időszakban milyen ütemben terjedt el a termelő vállalatoknál az informatikai rendszerek használata hazai és nemzetközi viszonylatban, valamint hogyan fejlődött a termelésmenedzsment kutatása. Az összefüggések feltárására a Gazdasági Együttműködési és Fejlesztési Szervezet (OECD) adatait használtuk fel, az Európai Unió 18 tagállamát vizsgáltunk meg, beleértve Franciaországot, Lengyelországot, Németországot, Ausztriát és Magyarországot. Az adatok közötti összefüggéseket különböző leíró statisztikai módszerek segítésével elemeztük. Kutatásunk eredménye hatással lehet a termelő vállalatok teljesítményének növelésére, új stratégiák kialakítására.

Megjegyzések:Governments worldwide have applied large-scale economic measures to support their companies and employees during the COVID-2019 pandemic. In current research, we have considered how the pandemic affected two large European economies - France and the UK. We have also investigated in detail what economic measures governments of both countries have introduced to support their economies. Our research has shown that the UK has suffered more severely and implemented broad financial measures.

Megjegyzések:There is growing literature on the concept and objectives of corporate sustainability (CS), but less attention is paid to a comprehensive approach to economic, social and ecological factors and industrial revolution (IR). Specifically, this paper contributes to the academic debate on the relationship between CS and IR in agri-food economics using firm-level data. The study used quantitative pathway models to measure the extent to which technologies aect the development of social, ecological and economic factors in Hungarian food manufacturing companies. The research was conducted using partial least squares path modeling (PLS-PM) and categorical principal component analysis (CATPCA) to calculate the direct and indirect eects of IR technologies on profitability outcomes. This study has shown that the livable and sustainable path hypotheses can be confirmed. Consequently, the food manufacturing businesses whose managers think along the viable and sustainable lines tend to be more profitable. However, the ecological and economic factors strengthened the positive impact of the social dimension on food corporate profitability. Decision-makers should not wait for a pie in the sky for emerging sustainability but consciously embrace the CS issues that only provide a direction for the changes

Megjegyzések:This study investigates whether access to the Internet in schools and the share of its users stimulate productivity development in emerging markets in the period from 2007 to 2016. Following the rise of new endogenous theories, the opposition appeared in the empirical approaches related to the role of ICTs. The analysis is based on distinctive variables and various competitiveness pillars from the datasets published by the World Bank and the World Economic Forum. The empirical findings from the dynamic (GMM) regressions affirm that the interaction to the Internet access in schools, fixed broadband penetration and the latest available technologies affect productivity growth. However, mobile broadband subscription is negatively related to productivity. Hence, the support of competitiveness goals through larger access to the Internet in education, the improved fixed Internet broadband and the absorption of new technologies can make emerging markets more competitive and sustain productivity growth in the long run.

Megjegyzések:In the era of industrial digitalization, companies are increasingly investing in tools and solutions that allow their processes, machines, employees, and even the products themselves, to be integrated into a single integrated network for data collection, data analysis, the evaluation of company development, and performance improvement. To study the impact of Industry 4.0 on the company we used Porter's (1985) value chain model, which is particularly useful when paying particular attention to corporate areas which have a primary role in customer value creation. Since the primary impact of Industry 4.0 is perceived in value-creating processes, and has so far had the greatest transformative effect in this area, the model can be considered to be appropriate. The objective of our research is to discover how companies operating in Hungary interpret the phenomenon of Industry 4.0, what Internet of Things (IoT) tools they use to support their processes, and what critical issues they face during adaptation. We applied a dual methodology in our investigation: We sent an online questionnaire to manufacturing and logistical service companies to investigate the IoT tools they use, and the problems they face, and received 43 answers we could evaluate. We also conducted four expert interviews with manufacturing firms to get deeper insights into the application, critical issues and development phases of IoT tools. During our research, we found that the spread of real-time data across companies?given the availability of appropriate analytical tools and methods?can have a significant impact on the entire company. In the case of CPS (Cyber Physical System), CPPS and Big Data Technologies, companies using them have been evaluated as having a higher level of logistic service, more efficient processes with their partners, improved cooperation between certain logistic functions, and higher market and financial performance and competitiveness. Applying more efficient production processes, and achieving better productivity and economies of scale, might also result in increased economic sustainability. Furthermore, we have found that companies have started on the path to digital evolution, and investments of this type have already begun.

Megjegyzések:If we want to increase the efficiency of precision technologies to create sustainable agriculture, we need to put developments and their application on a new footing; moreover, a general paradigm shift is needed. There is a need to rethink close-at-hand and far-off innovation concepts to further develop precision agriculture, from both an agricultural, landscape, and natural ecosystem sustainability perspective. With this, unnecessary or misdirected developments and innovation chains can be largely avoided. The efficiency of the agrotechnology and the accuracy of yield prediction can be ensured by continuously re-planning during the growing season according to changing conditions (e.g., meteorological) and growing dataset. The aim of the paper is to develop a comprehensive, thought-provoking picture of the potential application of new technologies that can be used in agriculture, primarily in precision technology- based arable field crop production, which emphasizes the importance of continuous analysis andoptimisation between the production unit and its environment. It should also be noted that the new system contributes to reconciling agricultural productivity and environmental integrity. The study also presents research results that in many respects bring fundamental changes in technical and technological development in field production. The authors believe that treating the subsystems of agriculture, landscape, and natural ecosystem (ALNE) as an integrated unit will create a new academic interdisciplinarity. ICT, emphasizing WSN (Wireless Sensor Network), remote sensing, cloud computing, AI (Artificial Intelligence), economics, sociology, ethics, and the cooperation with young students in education can play a significant role in research. This study treats these disciplines according to sustainability criteria. The goal is to help management fulfil the most important expectation of reducing the vulnerability of the natural ecosystem. The authors believe that this article may be one of the starting points for a new interdisciplinarity, ALNE.

Megjegyzések:A circular economy recycles previously manufactured products at the end of their lifecycle with minimal or zero waste generation and the use of additional new resources. The priorities of the recycling system include waste minimisation, reuse, remanufacturing and improvement. Innovative methods can therefore be integrated into factories to ensure waste is used to feed energy systems, rather than them exacerbating deforestation. As part of the research presented in this paper, we examined the impact of sustainability factors within Hungarian food companies, Industry 4.0 tools, as well as other factors that support or hinder business performance. The article aims to present the tools used for evaluating the efficacy and competitiveness of the business models of Hungarian food companies within the context of Industry 4.0. The questionnaire survey was conducted between 2019 and 2020, during which data were collected from 276 food companies. The data were subsequently analysed using a broad range of statistical methods, including Cronbach`s alpha index, factor analysis, K-mean clustering, oneway analysis of variance, cross-tabulation analysis, significance-effect matrix, Fornell-Larcker criterion, composition reliability index, and for the PLS path analysis, mean explained variance index, heterotrait-monotrait ratio, and predictive relevance. Researching sustainability factors is a means by which to strike a balance between economic, social and ecological factors so that a company can be efficient, effective and functional at the same time. Sustainable Industry 4.0 is an area of research that has yet to be explored by food companies.

Megjegyzések:Az EU a fenntarthatóság globális éllovasa, és a megújuló energiáról szóló irányelv és az üzemanyag-minőségére vonatkozó irányelv értelmében meghatározzák azokat a fenntarthatósági kritériumokat, amelyeknek a bioüzemanyagoknak meg kell felelniük ahhoz, hogy beszámítható legyen a 2020-ig kötelezően vállalt nemzeti célok teljesítésébe. A 2018 decemberében jóváhagyott és a 2020?2030 közötti időszakra szóló megújuló energiáról szóló irányelv a megújuló energiaforrások 14%-os részesedését tűzi ki célul 2030-ra a közlekedési ágazatban, ebből legalább 3,5%-os részcélként a fejlett bioüzemanyagok és biometán arányát. Az irányelv emellett 7%-os felső határt ír elő az élelmiszernövényekből készült hagyományos bioüzemanyagok részarányára, ami tükrözi az EU aggodalmát az élelmiszerek és az üzemanyagok termőföldért folytatott versenye és a közvetett földhasználat-változás miatt. Az Egyesült Államokban a Környezetvédelmi Ügynökség felel a megújuló üzemanyag szabványra vonatkozó programért. Ez a program specifikus éves mennyiségi követelményeket határoz meg a megújuló üzemanyagokra, amelyek 2022-re 36 milliárd gallonra emelkednek. Ezek a szabályozási követelmények az Egyesült Államokban használt megújuló üzemanyagok hazai és külföldi gyártóira és importőreire vonatkoznak

Megjegyzések:For small and medium-sized enterprises the identification of sources of risk is a decisive factor from a strategic perspective. The importance of risks, the differences between countries and the economic and financial impact of risks should be taken into account when planning the internal and external business processes of companies. The main objective of this study is to assess the sources of the economic and financial risks faced by small and medium-sized enterprises in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia (V4) and Serbia, taking into account the environmental factors of the countries examined. We conducted a questionnaire-based survey on the concept of risk management and the importance of risk among 1905 small and medium-sized enterprises in the five countries surveyed. To test the hypotheses formulated during the research, we used a contingency table, a Z-value test and other statistical tools. Finally, we identified the differences between the Visegrad Four and Serbia. The results of the research highlight the most common sources of risk for companies in the countries under study and the differences that can be identified between them.

Megjegyzések:Az Ipar 4.0 pedig egy olyan koncepció, amely az újkeletű forradalom kihívásaira ad válaszokat, mégpedig elsősorban az ipari folyamatok teljes digitalizációjával. Célunk, hogy átfogó képet adjunk az ipari forradalmakat kiváltó technológiai, gazdasági újításokról, napjaink fejlett technológiai vívmányairól, az Ipar 4.0-t és az Ipar 5.0-t megvalósító rendszerekről és azok lehetőségeiről, veszélyeiről. A kutatásban bemutatjuk a gyors fejlődés előnyeit és veszélyeit, miközben világossá válhat, hogy lényegében nem csak az ipar robbanásszerű fejlődéséről van szó, hanem a teljes gazdaság digitalizációjáról, mely az egész társadalmat érinti. Fontos, hogy a kis- és középvállalkozások is reagáljanak az új technológiai lehetőségekre, egyébként jelentős mértékben lemaradnak. A vállalatok nagy része szerint az Ipar 4.0 bevezetése növelni fogja a versenyképességüket. A vállalatoknak pedig csak kis része az, aki tényleg látja, hogy ez miként fogja megváltoztatni az üzleti tevékenységeiket. A digitális átalakulásnak hatással van a helyi és a globális érték-áramlásra, egyaránt érintve az alacsony és a magas költségű országokat.
