Megjegyzések:	According to domestic and foreign military-historical records, professional works from the history of diplomacy, the year 1917 is considered a year of reversals. They argue mainly with the entry of the United States into the war, as well as with two Russian revolutions initiating such serious and significant changes that decided the final outcome of the war. The aim of the paper is to confirm or refute the validity of the term "year of reversals". The author of the study wants to evaluate military and political events in 1917 in the context of the development of military diplomatic negotiations with special emphasis on domestic events. However, the year 1917 cannot be separated from the military tendencies of previous years, so we tried to place military, political, diplomatic events or the development of domestic conditions in the broader context of the Great War.
