Megjegyzések:Let A be a finite set, and let a symmetric binary relation be given on A. The goal of correlation clustering is to find a partition of AA, with minimal conflicts with respect to the relation given. In this paper we investigate correlation clustering of subsets of the positive integers, based upon a relation defined by the help of the greatest common divisor.

Megjegyzések:The aim of this article is to present a cryptosystem with a new key exchange protocol based on Diophantine equations of polynomial type. Our protocol is inspired by that of H. Yosh whose security comes from a translation of Diophantine equations. We suggest here a key exchange protocol relying on the hardness of solving Diophantine equations in the ring of S-integers.

Megjegyzések:We provide an asymptotic expression for the probabilitythat a randomly chosen polynomial with given degree, having integralcoe cients bounded by some B, has a prescribed signature. We alsogive certain related formulas and numerical results along this line. Ourtheorems are closely related to earlier results of Akiyama and Pethő,and also yield extensions of recent results of Dubickas and Sha.

Megjegyzések:In this paper we consider representations of algebraic integers of a number field as linear combinations of units with coef-ficients coming from a fixed small set, and as sums of elements having small norms in absolute value. These theorems can be viewed as results concerning a generalization of the so-called unit sumnumber problem, as well. Beside these, extending previous related results we give an upper bound for the length of arithmetic progressionsof t-term sums of algebraic integers having small norms in absolute value.
