Megjegyzések:	Cognitive patterns in storytelling: "The Lord Jesus Christ and the peasant child" The aim of the following paper is to reveal the cognitive patterns in fables in the form of a case study. After introducing the basic conceptual framework of the theory of Conceptual Blending (the so-called four-space model), the paper analyses a fable by Mihály Fedics (a famous storyteller of the 20th century), showing how different cognitive patterns (simplex, mirror, single-scope, double-scope) are at work in the development of the story of the fable. The analysis shows, on the one hand, that the framework of Conceptual Blending can not only describe the cognitive processes underlying everyday linguistic manifestations but can also be productively applied to the analysis of linguistic constructions in works of fiction. On the other hand, the analysis also reveals that the conceptual network of blending theory can be used to capture the textual functions of language constructions.
