Cím:Impact of Modulated Routing Mechanism on Wireless Sensor Network Systems: A Comprehensive Analysis / Zoltan Gal, Amine Korteby, Djamila Talbi
Dátum:2023
Megjegyzések:Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have been hugely advanced in recent years, driven by the growth of equipment types and numbers and the reduction of cost. Various services have been provided based on application requirements and network services. Among the energy-saving solutions in WSN environments, the Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) mechanism stands out. This hierarchical protocol makes cluster heads aggregate and switches data sent by the cluster entity nodes toward a fixed Sink node. In this study, we proposed Cost Balanced LEACH (CBLEACH), a novel set of routing mechanisms that introduce the mobility aspect to the Sink node (SN) and balances the decision of cluster head (CH) election by considering the distances between nodes and the residual energy of expected CH candidates. CB-LEACH allows nodes to be close to the SN to transmit data directly, ensuring non-collapsing energy and achieving the greatest efficiency in the WSN. The functionalities and features of the CB-LEACH routing mechanism were explored to provide valuable insights for researchers and practitioners in WSNs. We introduced a balance factor variable that merged the two impacting and time-dependent properties of nodes: distance and energy. The CH election in each cluster was based on a cost rule derived from a linear Eq. of the balance factor. We presented four different modulation schemes for the balance factor, each with its own rule, and analyzed their impact on the CB-LEACH mechanism. We examined the system's functionalities and compared the lifetime and transmitted number of frames in different scenarios involving the epoch number, the speed of SN, and various systems including Direct Sequence, basic LEACH, enhanced LEACH with mobile SN, and CB-LEACH. The findings in this study demonstrated that the modulated CB-LEACH routing mechanism outperformed other routing cases, offering superior features and capabilities to the WSNs.

Dátum:2023
Megjegyzések:This study explores the use of Artificial Bee Colony (ABC), Differential Evolution (DE), Firefly Algorithm (FA) and Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) swarm intelligence based optimization methods on four search spaces including Sphere, Rosenbrock's saddle, Rastrigin's and Ackley's function. The results showed that GWO had faster convergence with higher precision and was suitable for simple optimization problems. In contrast, DE optimization required more time to converge but managed to locate the minimum point, making it suitable for complex problems. The application of these optimization methods can have significant benefits in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and landslides. Overall, the findings of this study provide a basis for further research and exploration of the potential applications of ABC, DE, FA and GWO algorithms in the context of GIS and landslides, which can ultimately improve decision-making efficiency and accuracy in these fields.

Megjegyzések:Pico-cell based very high-speed wireless communication technologies require new medium access control mechanisms to provide top efficiency in the control plane. Beyond 5G and 6G wireless services are studied currently with synthetic data generated with special simulators. In this paper we used ns-3 TeraSim tool to evaluate upload communication cases from mobile terminals to unique base station in different population and topology scenarios during 10 ms simulated time interval. Fractal properties of the congested channel access were extracted with wavelet method in different simulation cases. Classification of them belonging to different communication cases were executed with recurrent neural network. The methodology utilized in this research work performs stable and unstable phases of the new IEEE pre-standard mechanism called Adaptive Directional Antenna Protocol for THz.
A következő generációs, pikocella méretű nagysebességű vezetéknélküli kommunikációs technológiák a hagyományostól eltérő közeghozzáférési és vezérlési mechanizmust feltételeznek a vezérlő síkban működő folyamatok hatékonyságának további növelése érdekében. A B5G, illetve 6G vezetéknélküli szolgálatokat jelenleg speciális szimulátorok által előállított adatok segítségével elemzik. Jelen dolgozatban ns-3 TeraSim eszköz segítségével mobilterminálok egyetlen közös bázisállomáshoz történő adatfeltöltési folyamatait vizsgáltuk 10 ms-os szimulált időtartamban. Torlódásos helyzetben a rádiós csatornahozzáférés fraktál tulajdonságait wavelet módszerrel nyertük ki, majd visszacsatolásos neurális hálózat segítségével osztályoztuk a különböző kommunikációs eseteket. Az alkalmazott módszer az IEEE szabványosítási folyamatában lévő ADAPT mechanizmus stabil, illetve instabil fázisainak hatékony beazonosítására képes.

Dátum:2022
Megjegyzések:Extension of real data by synthetic data becomes more important aspect of the virtualization technics today. In this paper we demonstrate how synthetic data generated from real data can be used in the supervised classification process of three different recurrent neural networks: Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM), Bidirectional LSTM (BiLSTM) and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU). Other aspect is presented concerning the influence of the noise to the classification of real and synthetic data series. The paper demonstrates that LSTM network has better classification performance than GRU, even the last one has higher accuracy during the training. Synthetic data can eternalize just part of the features of the original real data and extraction efficiency of these characteristics depend on the applied neural network.

Dátum:2024
Megjegyzések:Performance evaluation of the Medium Access Mechanisms of the B5G/6G system, called Adaptive Directional Antenna Protocol for THz networks is a hot research topic today. In this paper, we study the communication effect of the overlapping ratio sectors around the unique and fixed base station. We used Shannon entropy and entropy flux metrics to show the effect of the multiple consecutive communications executed by the mobile terminals. We analyzed the usability of these metrics and tried to interpret the properties of the ADAPT system based on them. Two disjunctive subsystems of the mobile terminals were considered based on the physical position of the overlapping and non-overlapping sector areas. We found that low population and low overlapping ratio show the stochastic character of the entropy and entropy flux. Meanwhile, both large population and large overlapping ratios lead strong correlation between the entropy and entropy flux.

Cím:On the Required Iteration Number of the Representant Swarm Intelligence Algorithms Based on Coefficient of Variation / Talbi Djamila, Levente Filep, Zoltan Gal
Dátum:2023
Megjegyzések:Determination of the required parameters for different optimization algorithms used in specific environments was and remains a hot topic of the informatics sciences. Choosing the right tool for the problem set is hard and careful investigation is paramount. This scientific study investigates the effectiveness of swarm intelligence-based optimization methods, namely Artificial Bee Colony, Grey Wolf Optimizer, Multiverse Optimizer and Salp Swarm Algorithm methods on four well-known search space functions: Sphere, Rosenbrock's Saddle, Rastring's function and Ackley's function. Coefficient of variation of the cost functions was used to evaluate quantitatively the performance of the analysed searching spaces. Ranking of the algorithms was done for each of the optimization problems wherein the SSA algorithm demonstrated a higher degree of favourability across the majority of the search spaces investigated.

ISSN:2061-2079
Megjegyzések:The New MAC mechanism plays a key role in achieving the needed requirements of the B5G/6G radio technology and helps to avoid high-speed frequency issues and limitations. With the help of the ns-3 simulator, we generated 42 different cases for the purpose of analyzing the impact of the network load on the overall effective transmission rate. Therefore, the use of the data-adaptive decomposition method the Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) on our non-stationary system benefits in the extraction of the important meaningful components. However, due to the highlighted direction dependency finding of EMD, Ensembled EMD (EEMD) being direction independent shows better performance on our data series. The extracted trend based on the proposed method matches the fitting curve, while the fitting curve parameters can be clusterized into 2 main clusters congested and non-congested cases of the radio channel throughput signal.
