Megjegyzések:	Like other forms of folk art, folk games had been gradually cut and polished over time before they reached their present form. Of fundamental importance is the question whether they can be adapted to suit present-day children of kindergarten age and whether and how their educational potential can be exploited. In this paper we show, through analyzing variants of a singing game beginning with the words Lánc, lánc, eszterlánc, involving turning around while moving in a circle, that our folk games and their variants reflect an important field of Hungarian folk music: they actually represent a "microcosm" of Hungarian vocal folk music. It is worth maintaining this cultural diversity: the preservation of regional variants should be encouraged instead of promoting one particular variant. This musical material may strengthen the feeling of community, helping harmonius development and providing opportunities for complex personality development. In addition, it may plant the subconscious seeds of Hungarian national identity in the hearts of the children.
