Megjegyzések:	Teneriff is the largest member of the Canarians. This island has risen from the Atlantic Ocean as a result of vulcanic activity. Its natural flora is characterized by more than 300 endemic species, most of which are succulent, accustemed to the aridity. Especially, the Euphorbia species (eg. Euphorbia canariensis) and the Aeonium species are worth to be mentioned. Furthermore, in the higher regions, the special flora is characterized by laurel (Laurus azorica) forests and canarien pine (Pinus canariensis) groups. The dragon tree (Dracena draco), which is a type o f the agaves, can be considered as a specialty, as well. Along with the natural flora, there are several adventive species, such as the Opuntia species which endanger the natural succulent ones. In the settlements, several plants can be found that have their origins in tropical or subtropical areas of more continents of the world, some of which are introduced in the present article.
