Cím:Damping the tail of the Woods-Saxon potential / Á. Baran, T. Vertse
Dátum:2019
ISSN:0218-3013
Megjegyzések:Cutting of the tail of the Woods-Saxon (WS) potential influences the distribution of the poles of the S-matrix considerably. A new attempt is made here to correct the tail of the cut-off WS potential in order to bring the positions of the poles closer to the WS potential without cut. New types of strictly finite range potentials are introduced in which the tail of the WS and the generalized Woods-Saxon (GWS) potentials are modified to damp them at their ends. This damping affects the energies of the bound and narrow resonant states weakly. The resonant pole positions in the new potentials were affected more significantly and the new pole positions became closer to that of the GWS potential without cut. However, the cut-off effect cannot be diminished completely. The new potentials belong to the C[infinity] function class.

Cím:JOZSO, a computer code for calculating broad neutron resonances in phenomenological nuclear potentials / Baran Ágnes, Noszály Csaba, Vertse Tamás
Dátum:2018
ISSN:0010-4655
Megjegyzések:A renewed version of the computer code GAMOW [1] is given in whichthe difficulties in calculating broad neutron resonances are amended. Newtypes of phenomenological neutron potentials with strict finite range are builtin. Landscape of the S-matrix can be generated on a given domain of thecomplex wave number plane and S-matrix poles in the domain are localized.Normalized Gamow wave functions and trajectories of given poles can becalculated optionally.

Cím:Analytical solutions for the radial Scarf II potential / G. Lévai, Á. Baran, P. Salamon, T. Vertse
Dátum:2017
ISSN:0375-9601
Megjegyzések:The real Scarf II potential is discussed as a radial problem. This potentialhas been studied extensively as a one-dimensional problem, and now these resultsare used to construct its bound and resonance solutions for l = 0 by setting theorigin at some arbitrary value of the coordinate. The solutions with appropriateboundary conditions are composed as the linear combination of the two independentsolutions of the Schro?dinger equation. The asymptotic expression of these solutions isused to construct the S0(k) s-wave S-matrix, the poles of which supply the k valuescorresponding to the bound, resonance and anti-bound solutions. The location of thediscrete energy eigenvalues is analyzed, and the relation of the solutions of the radialand one-dimensional Scarf II potentials is discussed. Analogies with the generalizedWoods?Saxon and the Rosen?Morse II potential are pointed out.

Cím:Distributions of the S-matrix poles in Woods-Saxon and cut-off Woods-Saxon potentials / P. Salamon, Á. Baran, T. Vertse
Dátum:2016
ISSN:0375-9474
Megjegyzések:The positions of the l=0S-matrix poles are calculated in generalized Woods-Saxon (GWS) potential and in cut-off generalized Woods?Saxon (CGWS) potential. The solutions of the radial equations are calculated numerically for the CGWS potential and analytically for GWS using the formalism of Gy. Bencze [1]. We calculate CGWS and GWS cases at small non-zero values of the diffuseness in order to approach the square well potential and to be able to separate effects of the radius parameter and the cut-off radius parameter. In the case of the GWS potential the wave functions are reflected at the nuclear radius therefore the distances of the resonant poles depend on the radius parameter of the potential. In CGWS potential the wave function can be reflected at larger distance where the potential is cut to zero and the derivative of the potential does not exist. The positions of most of the resonant poles do depend strongly on the cut-off radius of the potential, which is an unphysical parameter. Only the positions of the few narrow resonances in potentials with barrier are not sensitive to the cut-off distance. For the broad resonances the effect of the cut-off cannot be corrected by using a suggested analytical form of the first order perturbation correction.
