Dátum:2015
Megjegyzések:A fogászatban az új anyagrendszerek megjelenésével párhuzamosan egyre nagyobb ütemben növekszik a potenciálisan allergiás tünetek kiváltására alkalmas anyagok köre. Az adott allergénnek rendkívül kis mennyisége is képes allergiás reakció kiváltására, ezért kiemelt jelentősége van ezen antigénként szereplő anyagok (például: formaldehid, metakrilsav, benzoil-peroxid) fehérjékhez való kötődési lehetőségeinek vizsgálatának. Ezen sajátosságok vizsgálatára a Fourier-Transzformációs Felületi Plazmon Rezonancia Spektroszkópia (FT-SPR) jól alkalmazható eljárás.

Megjegyzések:Low intensity green light emitting diodes (LED) were shown to be an effective light sourceto induce the photopolymerization of an acrylate-based photocurable dental restorative resin mixtureof bisphenol A glycerolate dimethacrylate (BisGMA), triethylene glycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA),and diurethane dimethacrylate (UDMA), in combination with fluorinated diaryl titanocene (Irgacure784). Dental matrices were prepared by the LED light source at different intensities. The mechanicalproperties, such as Vickers microhardness, compressive strength, diametric tensile strength, flexturalstrength and E-modulus of the created samples were investigated. The kinetics of thephotopolymerization was followed by Raman spectroscopy and conversion values were determined. It was found that despite its narrow emission range centered at a wavelength of 531 nm, the greenLED light source is suitable for the preparation of dental matrices with good mechanical propertiesand high conversion values.

Megjegyzések:Though the antibacterial effect is advantageous, silver and silver nanoparticles can negatively affect the viability of human tissues. This study aims to check the viability of cells on surfaces with different particle size and to find the biologically optimal configuration. We investigated the effect of modified thickness of vaporized silver and applied heat and time on the physical characteristics of silver nanoparticle covered titanium surfaces. Samples were examined by scanning electron microscopy, mass spectrometry, and drop shape analyzer. To investigate how different physical surface characteristics influence cell viability, Alamar Blue assay for dental pulp stem cells was carried out. We found that different surface characteristics can be achieved by modifying procedures when creating silver nanoparticle covered titanium. The size of the nanoparticles varied between 60 to 368 nm, and hydrophilicity varied between 63 and 105 degrees of contact angle. Investigations also demonstrated that different physical characteristics are related to a different level of viability. Surfaces covered with 60 nm particle sizes proved to be the most hydrophilic, and the viability of the cells was comparable to the viability measured on the untreated control surface. Physical and biological characteristics of silver nanoparticle covered titanium, including cell viability, have an acceptable level to be used for antibacterial effects to prevent periimplantitis around implants.

Cím:Determining the plasmonic effect in gold/acrylic polymer nanocomposites / C. Hegedus, S. Kokenyesi, J. Burunkova, L. Daroczi, M. Szaloki
Dátum:2013
ISSN:0022-0345
Megjegyzések:Objective: The application of gold nanoparticles in medicine is more intensive. The aim of our study was to investigate plasmon effect inphoto curable gold-resin based composites.Method: The gold-resin based composites are made by mixing of predispergated Au nanoparticles in toluene and photoinitiator containingmonomers mixture. The surfaces of applied gold nanopartices (AuNP; Nanoprobes) are covered by dodecanethiol. The size of Aunanopartice are about 3-5 nm. The resin matrices are prepared by the mixing of different acrylate monomers as 2-(Dimethylamino)ethylacrylate (Sigma-Aldrich, DMAEA), Urethane dimethacrylate (Sigma-Aldrich, UDMA), Bisphenol A glycerolate (Sigma-Aldrich, BisGMA), andTriethylene glycol dimethacrylate (Sigma-Aldrich, TEGDMA) in different weight ratio. The photo initiator is camphorquinone (Sigmaaldrich,C Q), the inorganic filler is silica nanoparticles (0,014 ?m, Sigma-Aldrich, SiO2 ). The Plasmon effect was investigated by opticalspectroscopy (Shimadzu 4016 UV/VIS) and the kinetic of photopolymerization was by Micro Raman spectroscopy.Result: The gold nanoparticles are dispersed in toluene. It was found that the concentration of AuNP in toluene influenced the presence ofplamon effect, indicating the aggregation of gold nanoparticles. The optical spectroscopy investigation showed that absorbance peaksappeared in gold-resin composite with silica and without silica too. This absorption justified the plasmon effect. At the photopolymerizationthere is a characteristic Raman peak of resin based composite is at 1641 cm-1. During the polymerization this peak was investigated bythe Raman spectroscopy. It is found that the rate of the polymerization decreased with increasing amount of Au nanoparticles in resinmixture. The gold nanoparticles functioned as extra absorption nodule points.C onclusion: The capped gold nanoparticles have a pasmonic effect in resin matrices. The gold nanoparticles have effect to the kinetic ofphotopolymerization process.

Megjegyzések:Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the influence of modified resin usingreactive polymer nanoparticles on physical properties of filling materials such as flexuralmodulus, flexural stress and polymerization shrinkage of different composites. Methods:Model compounds applied for the resin modification were prepared from styrene (ST) andethyleneglycol dimethacrylate (EDM) by free-radical copolymerization reaction in solution. The azobis(isobutironitrile) (AIBN) initiator was applied and the reactions were carried outat 60oC . The copolymer samples were analyzed with GPC , DLS, TEM and NMR methods. The resin component of C harisma Flow Line composite was used as reference. Theflexural stress and flexural modulus analysis were done on INSTRON 4302 instrument, andthe polymerization shrinkage was analyzed by mercury dilatometer method. Results: Wehave found that molecular weight (Mw) (20-3100 kDa) and the hydrodynamic diameter(18-100 nm) increased with increasing reaction time (30-340 min). The measurement ofthe pendant double bonds showed that the concentration of the reactive groups increased(23, 41, 60 and 91%) with increasing EDM ratio in the feed (ST/EDM 90/10, 70/30, 30/70and 10/90). Both flexural modulus and flexural stress of composite increased withincreasing reactive group concentration of copolymers. The polymerization shrinkage ofmodified composite was less than that of C harisma Flow Line. C onclusions: The reactivecopolymer nanoparticles can be "co-resin" for new modified composites. Megjegyzések:Dental filling materials are crosslinked resins with high abrasion resistance. Inorganic micro and recently nanofillers are introduced to improve their properties. However, the shrinkage of the resin component during the polymerization reaction is still a critical limitation of dental composite resins. Stresses from shrinkage can cause clinical problems such as postoperative pain, fracture of the tooth, and opening of restoration margins that can result in microleakages and recurrent carries. Many factors have a direct effect on the polymerization shrinkage of composite resin: curing methods (chemical or light-curing), placement techniques (incremental or bulk), cavity configuration and size of the restoration. The aim of this study was to examine the influence of modified resin using reactive polymeric nanoparticles on the physical properties of filling materials such as flexural modulus, flexural stress and polymerization shrinkage of different composites.

Dátum:2008
ISSN:0024-9297 1520-5835
Megjegyzések:Soluble cross-linked nanoparticles were prepared by free radical copolymerization of styrene (ST, M1) and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDM, M2) monomers in homogeneous solution. Spherical nanoparticles were obtained in the early stage of polymerization, and no gelation occurred up to 66% of yield. The isolated particles are decorated with pendant vinyl groups that are target for further polymerization. The molar feed ratio was ST/EGDM = 5/5, the monomer concentration 0.556 mol/dm3 and the initiator concentration 5 mol %. It was found that as the conversion increased, the ratio of pendant vinyl groups reached a maximum value; however, the size of nanoparticles continued to increase with the reaction time. The molecular weight distributions were monomodal at short reaction times (30 and 60 min), however, at longer reaction times (90, 120, and 180 min) these became multimodal. This was caused by intraparticle reactions (branching and cross-linking) and possibly also by interparticle reactions (coupling). The reactive vinyl groups were detected by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR). The size of nanoparticles in swollen state was determined by dynamic laser light scattering (DLS) method and in dried form by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Molecular weight and distributions were measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC).
