Cím:Complete hardware/software solution for implementing the control of theelectrical machines with programmable logic circuits / D. Mic, Ş. Oniga, E. Micu, C. Lung
Dátum:2008
Megjegyzések:In this paper authors propose a rapid and new method to design andoptimize the electric motor control using Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA). The elaborated designing algorithm takes advantage of theunification of ISE Xilinx digital designing environment withMatlab/Simulink simulation and testing environment, through SystemGenerator toolbox. This results in a faster and efficient design flow. Asoftware and hardware operational system was realized using programmablelogic circuits to control a Brushless DC (BLDC) motor. The system isable to operate independently or to communicate bidirectional and inreal time with Matlab/Simulink environment. A hierarchical controlsystem design method is achieved too, based on parameterized models;System Generator toolbox library is extended with specific electricmotors control blocks (PWM, PID, Commutation blocks, etc).

Cím:The Development of a Simulink Library with FPGA Compatible Parametric Components for Electric Machines Control / Daniel Mic, Alin Tisan, Ştefan Oniga, Claudiu Lung, Sebastian Sabău
Dátum:2009
Megjegyzések:The current paper is meant to display a development procedure for aSimulink/Matlab library with parameterized components which can beimplemented in FPGA circuits. The usage of the library components shallease and shorten the time for design and hardware implementation of aloop control for direct current motors. The System Generator Toolbox isto be used as a work environment in designing the parameterized blocks, due to its good fitting in the Matlab / Simulink environment, familiarto the control systems designers and which, together with the ISE Xilinxenvironment cover all the designing stages.

Cím:Adaptive Hardware-Software Co-Design Platform for Fast Prototyping of Embedded Systems / Stefan Oniga, Alin Tisan, Claudiu Lung, Attila Buchman, Ioan Orha
Dátum:2010
ISSN:1842-0133
Megjegyzések:This paper presents the hardware-software co-design platform based onFPGA developed for fast prototyping of embedded systems using hardwaremodules that can be easily connected and "driver" modules that canmanage I/O devices and sensors basic behavior. Having this framework, adding of a new I/O peripheral needs only design and synthesis of anapplication specific VHDL or software module. Using neural networks (NN)to add learning capabilities and adaptive behavior is essential for anintelligent system and the use of FPGA is an important feature in termsof their hardware implementation. The designed architecture allows theinsertion of intelligent interface based on neural networks created withthis type of modules. This platform is based on low cost general purposeFPGA boards without need for hardware design.

Dátum:2009
Megjegyzések:This paper presents the results obtained in the implementation of Feed-Forward Artificial Neural Networks (FFANN) with one or several layers, used in the development of smart devices that needs learning capability and adaptive behavior. The networks were implemented using ANN specific blocks created by the authors using the System Generator software. The training and the testing of the networks was conducted using sets of 150 training and test vectors with 7 elements. 2009 IEEE.

Cím:Magnetic sensors in inertial navigation system / Sebastian Sabou, Stefan Oniga, Claudiu Lung
Dátum:2014
Megjegyzések:The purpose of this paper is to present a inertial navigation system with an additional magnetic sensor to increase the accuracy of the guidance system. Thus we obtain a system that has less need of an external reference system for correction of internal reference system, this increasing its autonomy. It is implemented with a 8-bit microcontroller and the usual solid state sensors: acceleration, magnetic and gyroscope.

Cím:Recognition rate difference between real-time and offline human activity recognition / Jozsef Suto, Stefan Oniga, Claudiu Lung, Ioan Orha
Dátum:2017
Megjegyzések:Nowadays the trend toward sedentary lifestyle is one of the main causes of some dangerous health problems such as obesity, back pain and cardiovascular diseases [1]. Monitoring and recognizing daily activities of a people can help in the evaluation and prediction of his/her health status. Moreover, the rapidly growing rate of elderly population greatly influences the development of heath care services. Based on these new challenges, several approaches have been proposed by researchers for the recognition of human activities in different application areas such as health care, smart homes, and ambient-assisted living [2]. In the past few decades, researchers tried different information acquisition approaches for human activity recognition (HAR) including computer vision and wearable sensor based techniques. After the appearance of the Internet of Things topic, the usage of wearable sensors for different kinds of purposes has spread rapidly [3]. Due to the limitations and disadvantages of vision-based techniques (privacy issue, lighting conditions, special environment, etc.), acceleration-based wearable sensors have received higher attention. In addition, their advantages (small size, low cost, long term continuous data acquisition) further increased their popularity. It motivated companies and research groups to develop own data acquisition devices with different types of sensors and controllers for HAR purposes [4], [5]. Today's smartphones are well equipped with memory, fast processor(s), built in sensors and powerful battery thus they provide new opportunities in HAR research. Smartphones can be used as a complex HAR system without any additional hardware requirements. They have many advantages unlike special purpose data collector devices. For example, smartphones provide high level programming environment with different visualization, communication and data storage possibilities. Already several researchers used phones for HAR [6]. Most of them utilized the phone as data acquisition device and the evaluation happened offline by mathematical or data mining tools such as Matlab or Weka [7], [8].
