Megjegyzések:	French and Hungarian regional policy and regional development have been similar problems since the second half of the 20th century. One of the most apparent connection points is the issue of pole towns that was always a hot issue in the regional development of the two countries due to the demand of reducing the dominancy of the capital and that of decentralization. In Hungary the counterpole programme was started eight years after the start of the original French plan The initial problems were also the same. Namely the demographic and economic overweight of the capital.
