Since 2014, the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) has been one of the key tools for monitoring and measuring the digital development of the European economy and society. In 2021, the DESI index's core indicators were aligned with the objectives of the 2030 Digital Agenda and had four core dimensions: human capital, connectivity, integration of digital technology and digital public services. Continuing our previous research, we tried to determine whether convergence between the Member States could be detected in human capital digital skills and competencies development. The ?-convergence was applied to estimate the reduction over time in the differences between the Member States. The ?-convergence was used to calculate the rate of catching up to the initial level of development. The ?- and ?-convergence was not confirmed. A cluster analysis was carried out - assuming a non-homogeneous development - which revealed that the differences in the digital development of human capital in the Member States are persistent and that the rate of development is minimal over the period considered. We reviewed DESI's human capital individual indicators to identify critical areas that need to be addressed in the future to ensure that digital development is as broad-based as possible. After a meticulous analysis of the DESI overall index and its core dimensions, we conclude that in areas where convergence is not achieved, the EU's targets will not be met or will be in backlog in 2030. In education, training and retraining, in this case, digital skills development and coherent action are essential.

The explosion of platform based collaborative economy (CE) into the tertiary sector has changed the balance of power of market. The purpose of the study aims at introducing the CE, with special regard to its varieties and definitions and its awareness in Visegrad Group (V4) countries and in EU. Article includes both primary and secondary research. The international literature review was carried among definitions of CE from the last 10 years' articles. It was found that there is no uniform definition of CE, and it also turned out that the scope ofactivities related to the concept is not uniformly organized. This article is also focuses on the economic markets of the (V4) countries CE from supply and demand-side aspects by analysing EU database with SPSS software. The estimation of CE services reveals a more positive picture among Polish and Czech residents, whereas Slovak respondents are an average of EU-28. Despite the fact that Hungarian respondents are most familiar with the CE, they are the most conservative in with consideration. The most popular CE platforms are accommodation and transport services in V4 countries. To the best of our knowledge, the analysis of this topic has not been carried out.

For people living in big cities, getting to their destinations every day is a significant challenge. The increasing use of private transport leads to congestion in cities, contributing to air pollution, increased journey times, and citizens' dissatisfaction. At the end of 2020, the European Commission presented its green, innovative, and affordable mobility plan, the "Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy." The strategy's main aims are to reduce transport emissions by 90% by 2050 and improve digitalization based on innovative technologies and methods. To motivate citizens to use public transportation, meeting the passengers' requirements is crucial. At the beginning of 2022, research was carried out in Debrecen on the expectations for public transport. In this paper, the authors present the main results of the survey, focusing on the digitalization part of the survey. Based on the results, 69% of the citizens prefer digital solutions to their everyday lives. The introduction and development of digital solutions such as real-time passenger information would shift more than half of respondents from individual transport to public transport. A proposal was made to introduce complex applications which, in addition to journey planning, also provide additional convenient functions, such as payment and live news. The results can be used to improve the Smart City Program and the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP).
