Megjegyzések:Touristic use of the diverse natural advantages of Lake Tisza
Lake Tisza is a lowland reservoir with an area of 127 km2 in the middle of the Carpathian Basin established in the 1970s. Among its original functions, in addition to flood control, it was expected to irrigate a larger agricultural area and increase water freight transport. Today, buffering of extreme water conditions, nature conservation and recreation have become the main profiles. The diverse hydroecological features and mosaic landscape structure of the lake allow for versatile nature conservation and utilization in tourism. This differentiated use is in line with the worldwide trend of favouring locations with multiple leisure activities in close proximity to each other. Lake Tisza offers fishing, swimming, sailing, canoeing, nature observation boating and cycling opportunities, but due to its status as a Ramsar bird conservation site, it is also a valuable destination for ornithologists. In the course of our research, we examined the current spatial pattern of these activities and the possible arrangement of expedient further development.

Megjegyzések:The majority of the data of the physical geography concerns the natural landscapes, reservoirs or relief units. In the social geography opposite this the data to the administrative units; settlements, micro-regions, counties, regions, or a whole country refers. Since the border of the small landscapes and the administrative units is different mostly, the two databases difficult to compare. We calculated how Hungary's small landscapes (microregions) are divided between the counties, in what kind of proportion can be unloaded the 19 counties from small landscapes for which there are 100, 90 or 2/3 of his parts in the given county. We established that the county data are applicable to a certain group of the small landscapes well in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg, Békés and Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county case, and reversely; the area of some small landscapes covers the certain county in a considerable part. To synchronise the data in Komárom?Esztergom and Csongrád county case can be hardly realize.

Megjegyzések:In recent years an international research programme was initiated, which conducts landscapeecological studies on a continental level all over Europe. It intends to clarify the relations between physical geographical conditions, antropogenic effects and land use requirements of society. The manager of the programme is the Steering Committe of the Protection and Management of the Environment and Natural Habitats of the European Union. The author believes it is essential for Hungarian geographers to continue to participate in this research.
