Dátum:2013
Megjegyzések:Nowadays all people get the information they need from many sources. Most of these materials come from electronic services. Users consume the information not only by reading, but also watch real time services on the Internet using their hardware and software tools. With the advanced multimedia services today we can organize meeting in a virtual room, letting and anyone to join from anywhere in the world. Watching such streaming contents is not reduced to the personal computers but smart phones, tablets are able to visualize these contents with remarkable processing and transmission bandwidth requirements, as well. Some years ago we could not imagine that, we can organize meeting in a virtual room, and anyone can join from anywhere in the world. Or as an example, we can watch our favourite team football game from our mobile device. In a Cross-Border Cooperation Programme between University of Debrecen and University of Timisoara we set the objective of bring together the two universities people. With real time applications such as IPTV system, internet telephony, videoconferencing can cooperate over a virtual tunnel in each institute in very resolution, enhancing the quality of user experience. People can use each other services, electronic resources anywhere on their own campuses on any devices, platforms, strengthening the cross-border relationship between them. We discuss the optimal solution for this integrated multimedia service.

Dátum:2011
Megjegyzések:The allocation of IPv4 addresses belonging to Europe area has been finished in 2011 causing introduction of IPv6 services in Hungary, too. The IPv6 technology is expected to attend the converged data and multimedia (voice, video) communication necessities for the following several tens of years. Therefore the selection of optimal introduction method of IPv6 services requires circumspect strategic design previously. This migration process is influenced by the spectacular evolution of WiFi technologies in the previous an current years. For real time interactive communication services based on IPv4/IPv6 packet switched technologies need QoS/QoX quality guarantees, involving traffic flows processed by Diffserv mechanisms in both wired and wireless network environments. The modification of research and education profile of the university towards business area and the appearance of exterior companies at the university MAN caused to put in operation a high bandwidth second leased line for business data traffics, creating adjacency to the HBONE Internet link. These two exterior links to the Internet increases significantly the routing complexity of IPv4/IPv6 packets coming from nodes connected to the wired or WiFi MAN network of the institute. This paper presents the extension method of IPv6 network services in WiFi network environment at the University of Debrecen taking in consideration the technology specialties of academic and business oriented network data traffics.

Cím:On the WiFi interference analysis based on sensor network measurements / Gál Zoltán, Balla Tamás, Sztrikné Karsai Andrea
Dátum:2013
Megjegyzések:The Internet is everywhere, now everyone has at least one device which is connected to some kind of computer network. Not only wired but wireless communication technologies have become part of everyday life, as well. Because of the dynamic evolution of the WiFi services, majority of the enterprises and higher education institutions have a sort of own wireless infrastructure on their sites or campuses. Such subsystems in most cases are central managed, 2nd generation solutions consisting of high-end network devices from the top manufacturers. The IEEE 802.11 widespread technology is affordable for everyone in the ISM (Industrial-Science-Medical) frequency band. Many users have access to WiFi devices and make its own SOHO wireless service in ad-hoc manner in the neighborhood of the enterprise sites. These devices cause interference and generate huge amount of noise in the wireless radio channels for others in the physical vicinity. Improvement of an existing enterprise system without overall coverage in interior and exterior environment needs important design consideration to extend the WiFi services conform to the user expectation level. Having a large number of mobile users with even real-time communication necessities, high-quality, and high-bandwidth WiFi system with QoS (Quality of Service) guarantees need to be developed henceforward. Improvement of the WiFi base station infrastructure to cover the wanting physical zones can be done after a thoughtful frequency analysis of the existing enterprise wireless system. The paper presents a frequency analysis method based on sensor facility of the intelligent WiFi access points for helping the determination of the optimal physical coordinates of several dozens of new base stations in university or enterprise campus environment.

Dátum:2013
Megjegyzések:The wireless LAN network scaling needs a relatively difficult designing task. Several methods of measurement and evaluation exists for the execution of this task. In this paper a new method of WiFi system design is presented based on intelligent, controller managed IEEE 802.11a and IEEE 802.11b/g system. The basic concept of the method is to utilize the base stations as intelligent sensors and capture the noise intensity at each radio channel periodically. The physical locations of the new base stations can be set using these sampled intensity values and executing mathematical evaluation.
